Selection of options on IDM30
Experience the Powerpack – The IDM30 power pack consists of an engine directly coupled to a
compressor providing necessary power to perform drilling functions. Each power
pack is mounted on its own sub base, which is, in turn mounted to the rig’s main

leadership in drilling
frame preventing drilling vibration to be transmitted to the power pack. The IDM30
new electronic engine with advanced technology has lower emissions and saves
up to 25% fuel. Refer technical specification table for the options.

Mast & carousel – The mast is a large steel structure with box section that loads
The Epiroc IDM30 drill is a crawler mounted, blasthole drill rig for down the hole and rotary all work forces absorbing maximum drilling stress. It carries the hydraulic motor
drilling popular in the most aggressive coal, limestone and iron ore mines. and chain feed system to provide sufficient pulldown force while drilling. A
selection of carousels for short and long mast helps to carry multiple drill pipes
for multi-pass drilling.
Features and benefits
• Centrally controlled hydraulic operation to load, • Uniform stable design provides gradeabilty
unload and breakout, along with carousel and rod up to 25% Auto guide drill rod centering – It is observed that in tough mining conditions,
drill pipes always gets off-set or bent slightly, making aligning the drill pipes a
centring system provides single man operations
• Clever design to keep load factor minimum that tedious job. Our new auto guide drill system is smartly designed to ensure the
• Single level platform is designed to give operators gives improved engine life drill pipes effectively maintain a straight line to drill string and rotation head
comfort to service the rig without getting down center axis.
• Complies to all DGMS requirements viz; safety
• Efficient hydraulic system with load sensing pumps items like FOPS certified cabin, mode selector,
reduce thermal cycle of oil that eventually saves propel interlock, audio visual alarm and track
the fuel guards are provided Drill efficiency indicator (DEI) – Our drill efficiency indicator system is capable
of providing accurate data of hole depth, rate of penetration, distance from the
bottom of the hole, accumulated depth and pipe-in-hole notification. This data
can be stored on computer for further analysis if driving productivity measures.

Auto fire suppression and detection system – This system provides protection
to the equipment from ABS fires. Consisting of pressurized nozzles located at
strategic locations, it operates in event of sudden fire and protects the drill rig.
The zonal system covers drill rig in two zones with efficient nozzles, and actuates
the system only in the zone where fire occurs to effectively suppress the fire in
short duration of time.

Centralized lubrication system – The centralized lubrication system delivers

controlled amounts of lubricant to multiple parts while the rig is operating,
reducing friction and wear and tear. It has a pneumatic pump which can be
operated from the cabin. A basic manual lubrication system can also be
provided, as per the requirement.

Water injection system – For efficient dust collection we have a separate

water injection system that can be mounted on the drill. The water injection
system offers a high pressure mist to supress the dust giving a cleaner working
environment at all times. The water tank can store 500 litres of water.

NVE dust collection system – Our non-visible emission dust collector is DGMS
approved. Mounted on the main frame near the drill table it collects dust and other
particles improving the quality of air released. It has a centrifugal blower which
creates suction pressure to absorb the dust and pass it through filters, this stops
majority dust particles before releasing the dust to the ground.
