I. Objectives
III. Procedures
A. Preliminary Activities
Prayer
The teacher asks one student to lead a prayer.
Greetings
The teacher greets the students and inspires them to
learn.
Checking of attendance
The teacher checks and records the attendance of the
students.
Review
The teacher gives a short discussion in their previous
lesson about the independent and dependent probability
of events.
Motivation
“Picture Analysis”
The teacher shows a picture to the class and let them
analyze what was in the picture.
TREE DIAGRAM Example:
Lesson Proper
A. Activity
The teacher instructs the class to answer the given activity.
The students will be given 3 minute to answer.
B. Analysis
C. Abstraction
The teacher discusses the following concept.
Conditional Probability
P ( A ∩B) P (B ∩ A)
P (A B) =
P( B)
OR P (B A) =
P( A )
EXAMPLE:
o A teacher gave two test to his students namely Math and English. 30%
of the students passed both the test and 40% of the students passed
the math test. What percent of those who passed the math test also
passed the english test?
Given:
Event A ( % of passing math test) = 40% or 0.40
P ( A ∩ B) = 30% or 0.30
Solution:
Conditional probability of B given A
P (B ∩ A)
P (B A) = P( A )
0.30
= 0.40
= 0.75 or 75%
D. Application:
Let the students answer the given problem.
Instruction: In your activity notebook, solve for the Conditional
Probability of events. Show your solution.
1. Teacher Clarisse gave her class 2 test. 25% of the class passed both tests
and 42% of the class passed the first test. What percent of those who passed
the first test also passed the second test?
Evaluation:
The teacher instructs the students to do advance study for the next
topic.
