Hammer
Hammer
2. Theoretical Basis
The test field on structural elements must meet the following conditions:
4. Work steps
1. Prepare samples of concrete blocks of known weight and size after
soaking for 1 week (7 days).
2. Clean the surface of the concrete block to be tested
3. Touch the tip of the launcher to the surface of the test point in a
position perpendicular to the test plane
4. Press the concrete hammer slowly in a direction perpendicular to the
test area until a blow occurs at the test point
5. Read the test results
6. Perform 8 blows on the test object at different points with a close
distance of 25mm between the blow points.
7. Record all reading values and carry out data analysis.
5. Flowchart

Work Steps
a. Preparing concrete blocks.
b. Make sure the surface of the concrete block to be tested is
smooth.
c. Carry out the test by pressing the Hammer Test tool
perpendicular to the surface of the test object.
d. After pressing the test object, take a reading on the Hammer Test
tool.
e. Record the reading results on the Hammer Test. Step 2

20,5+((21,9337−21)×(21,9−20,5))
Maximum Stress = (22−21)
= 21,80725
8. Conclusion
From the initial cement bonding experiment, the following
conclusions can be drawn :
1. From the experiment, the maximum stress value is 21,80725 and
the minimum stress is 15,91387
2. The results of the hammer test can be used to determine the
compressive strength value of concrete for controlling concrete
quality in the field
9. Suggestion
1. Before testing the concrete, the surface should be sanded first
2. The test is carried out on a flat surface
3. When using the test equipment, it must be slightly aligned with the
test material
10. Constraint
1. The tools used are limited
2. The surface is uneven so the results obtained are less accurate
