My Monkey is especially adorable. It has a funny skirt made with tropic leaves,
a small attractive muzzle, and a fancy hair-do. This crochet monkey is an
absolute hit among children
Supplies:
If you use the specified yarn and hook, your Cuddle Me Monkey amigurumi will
be about 16 cm (6.3″) tall. Note that your toy can be larger in case you use
thicker yarn and bigger hook.

Body:
Make sure that the legs are positioned correctly (the feet point out instead of
straight on), crochet additional stitches or undo the existing ones if it’s needed.
Make 2 ch and join the legs with sl st.
Rnd 1: sc in next 16 st of the first leg, sc in next 2 ch, sc in next 16 st of the
second leg, sc in next 2 ch (opposite side) [36]

Crochet the third round and the following rounds without changes till you get 10
cm (3.9″) tail. Stuff the tail slightly.
Skirt:
The skirt is consists of 12 leaves.
Leaf:
8 ch,
Crochet the first half of the leaf starting from the second ch from hook: sl st in
next st, sc in next st, hdc in next st, 2 dc in next st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, 3
sc in last st. Turn and continue crocheting the second part of the leaf: hdc in
next st, dc in next st, 2 dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next st, sl st in next st.
Fasten off and weave in the end.
Assembly:
1. Sew muzzle to the head. Put some fiberfill inside the muzzle before you
finish.
2. Embroider a nose with brown thread.
3. Sew the inner parts of the ears on the outer ones. Sew the ears to the head
between Rnd 8 and Rnd 13.
4. Sew tail, arms, belly and head to the body.
5. Sew leaves on the body as a skirt.
6. It’s time to make hair. Cut the yarn into 15 pieces, each is 5 cm long. Attach
the pieces on the top of the head like scarf fringes. Make a cute hair-do and tie
a bow with any contrast yarn.
