AIM: To create a story using pictures, clip art in MS Word/Libre office writer.
TOOLS REQUIRED:
➢ Set the margin and select the type of sheet using page Layout Tab.
➢ Page styles -> Margins, headers and footers, borders and backgrounds.
➢ Paragraph styles -> Text alignment, tab stops, line spacing, and borders, and can
include character formatting.
➢ Character styles -> Font and size of text, or bold and italic formats.
Thus, a story has been narrated in MS Word/Libre office writer using clip Art.

Using the Styles and Formatting & Insert Picture

Insert Picture:
1. Click in the OpenOffice.org document where you want the image to appear.
RESULT: Thus, the invitation has been created using libre office writer writer.

Creating a new (custom) styles
TOOLS REQUIRED:
STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED
➢ Open the Styles and Formatting window and choose the type of style you
want to create.
➢ In the document, select the item you want to save as a style.
➢ In the Styles and Formatting window, click on the New Style from
Selection icon .
➢ In the Create Style dialog, type a name for the new style. The list shows the
names of existing custom styles of the selected type.
➢ Click OK to save the new style.
➢ Select some text and drag it to the Styles and Formatting window.
➢ Paragraph Styles -> the paragraph style will be added to the list.
➢ Character Styles -> the character style will be added to the list.

AIM: To create a student’s mark list in table format using Libre office writer.
TOOLS REQUIRED:
STEPS TO BE FOLLOWED
a) Create a table
Choose Table ->Insert ->Table option. This will display the Insert Table dialog box.
Enter the number of rows and columns for the table in the number of columns
and the number of row boxes.
Enter data in the column heading such as Student name, Subjects, marks etc.
1. Position the insertion point in any cell where you want the image to be added.
3. After selecting an image, click on Insert clip button to insert the image in that particular
area.
To insert a Column
3. Columns to the Left: Insert a column to the left of the currently selected column.
4. Columns to the Right: Insert a column to the right of the currently selected column.
To insert a Row
1. Select the row above or below where you want to insert a row.
1. Position the insertion point in any cell where you want the image to be added.
3. After selecting an image, click on Insert clip button to insert the image in that particular
area.
