    1. PREFACE

    This procedure is guidance for site test and commissioning of Generator and
    to assure that the requirements of leak test are meets the codes
    requirements and contract specifications

    3. EQUIPMENT TO BE USED

    3.1 N2 Tank.
    3.2 Pressure Gauge
    3.3 Hand Tools
    3.4 Detector
    3.5 Radio Communicator (HT)

    4. PREPARATION WORKS

    4.1 All necessary precautions shall be taken before, during and after test.
    4.2 Gas such as nitrogen or air shall be applied.
    4.3 Check of pressure gauge indicator on generator showing 0 MPa
    4.4 Checking all of tightness of generator like joints, seal, pipe connection
    etc are operating correctly.
    4.5 This test can be carried out simultaneously with test for corresponding
    equipment.

    5. TEST

    5.1 Leak test are simultaneously carried out.


    5.2 The Air tightness test pressure shall be kept for five minutes. Check
    leakage on connecting sections with soap water.
    5.3 In case gas is applied for test, care shall be taken not to give pressure
    abruptly. Abrupt application of pressure produces danger.
    5.4 Open and raise of valve of N2 tank with smoothly
    5.5 Closed the valve if nitrogen pressure become up until 0.35 MPa

    5.6 When the pressure exceeds the pressure allowed by the pressure
    gauge, seat it as allowable by the measuring instrument
    5.7 Keep the pressure until 24 hours
    5.8 Check leakage on connected sections with soapy water with the
    pressure as table below

    5.9 If the fall in pressure is more than 0.04 MPa in 24 hours, fill generator
    with N2 and try and locate the leakage
    5.10 As soon as the leak has been identified, ensure that’s its repairs
    should be done and the leak test shall be started up again when the
    nitrogen tightness is correct.
    5.11 Recheck all connected, welding, hose, seal etc after 24 hours, if all
    condition good that leak test meaning already done.
    5.12 The single line diagram of generator leak test as per drawing
    showing.

    5. SAFETY MEASURES

    6.1. Only persons qualified by training and familiar with Leak test involved
    and lead by field engineer
    6.2. Be sure that the safety equipment shall be used during test and use
    safety barrier for personal isolation
    6.3. The output of this N2 tank is high pressure, Ensure that tool and
    equipment test are required
    6.4. Worker should be used PPE (helm, safety belt etc)
