CAREER
ADECCO / IBM SINGAPORE APR 2009 – PRESENT
ROLE: SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER
RESPONSIBILITIES/  Deployed as an IBM Contractor Employee and Provide 24/7 on-call and
EXPERIENCES office hours on-site administration and operational support for National
Healthcare Group (NHG) network infrastructure including but not limited
to routing, switching, firewall, and wireless network support
 Perform and troubleshoot daily firewall rules changes required for the
business
 Ensuring all network support services are delivered within service level
of agreement
 Working on Network projects from Planning, Designing, Installation and
Implementation of LAN, WAN, Security and Wireless Networks
 Coordinate to ISP on the installation and configuration of WAN link on
the routers
 Deployment of switches from installation, configuration to production
that follows security standards which includes AAA, TACACS, SSH,
SNMP, port security etc.
 Configuration, Provision and troubleshoot in Aruba and Cisco Wireless
Controller
 Handle projects for Improvements, upgrades of the Network
Infrastructure, WAN link testing and other issues seen base on daily
monitoring as part of the ITIL process for continual service
improvements.
 Analyze network performance and take proactive actions and preventive
measures to monitor and enhance the network performance including
software and hardware upgrade
 Perform yearly IOS upgrade in all network devices which includes router,
switches, firewall, wireless controller and monitoring servers
 Enhancement of all production devices configuration in compliance with
security
 Perform bi-yearly Heath Check in all routers and switches which checks
if device meets security standards for Security Audit
 Back up of network and firewall configurations and inventory tracking
 Take lead in handling complex issue and chronic problem, identify root
cause and preventive actions
 Coordinate with Cabling vendors for procurement of Network racks,
cables and implementations and with ISP for any telco issues
 Documentation and inventory of network devices through IBM process
 Manages Cisco ACS for TACACS+ authorization and accounting, etc.
 Manages Solarwind Orion, Netview and Manage Engine OpManager for
network performance monitoring.
 Involve in project planning for new infrastructure and remote sites.
