Symptoms

The initial deletion attemp may have been partial only , and a follow up command line cleanup may be required.

Deleting a LUN replication session from the destination not the source can cause a hung replication process that could result in the
below errors.

Non recoverable error on source side

Trying to delete the session from source side will result in error: (Error Code:0x6500051)

Trying to create another replication session can cause the below:

Failed: Source in use by another replication process (Error Code:0x9ef4)
Failed: The specified LUN name has already been reserved or LUN with this name already exists. (Error Code:0x6701140)

It can also cause orphaned system (Replication) snapshots that cannot be deleted.

Resolution
The replication session can to be deleted via command line interface , using service tools svc_dataprotection.

If assistance is required on performing this cleanup , please contact Dell EMC Technical Support or your Authorized Service
Representative, and quote this Knowledgebase article ID.

Additional Information

From svc_dataprotection help output , examples:

Delete a replication session by session ID:

svc_dataprotection -r repsess -a delete -s 42949673102_FCNCH0972C30C3_0000_42949673096_FCNCH0972C30C3_0000

Delete a task only on the replication session by session ID:

svc_dataprotection -r repsess -a deletetaskonly -s 42949673102_FCNCH0972C30C3_0000_42949673096_FCNCH0972C30C3_0000

Delete a replication session of LU by LU name:

svc_dataprotection -r repsess -a delete -n srcLun1 -t LU

Delete a replication session of FS by FS OID:

svc_dataprotection -r repsess -a delete -o 0x2800000003

Set a sync rate to the session:

svc_dataprotection -r repsess -a syncrate=high -s 81604378625_FNM00151702100_0000_81604378625_FNM00151702099_0000

Set a sync rate to ALL sync sessions:

svc_dataprotection -r repsess -a syncrate=low -s ALL

Show a sync rate of the session:

svc_dataprotection -r repsess -a showsyncrate -s 42949673102_FCNCH0972C30C3_0000_42949673096_FCNCH0972C30C3_0000

List ALL sync replication sessions with each sync rate:

svc_dataprotection -r repsess -a showsyncrate -s ALL

Show cg replication sessions with each member sync rate:

svc_dataprotection -r repsess -a showsyncrate -s 81604378625_FNM00151702100_0000_81604378625_FNM00151702099_0000

Restore destination NAS server and FS when FS sync replication session is in paused state and source is disruptive
svc_dataprotection -r repsess -a restore -i FNM00151702100

Examples for resouce snap:

Delete objects in a snap operation according to the snap name:
svc_dataprotection -r snap -a delete -n UTC_2017-11-16_03:38:31

Recover objects in a snap operation according to the snap OID:

svc_dataprotection -r snap -a recover -o 0x280000000F

Partner Notes

Please note this needs to be checked and ran on both sides , source and destination.
If the source/destination were not removed properly during initial unisphere delete , session name and internal snaps might still be
there.
If session is still there , the command accept the session name as argument.
Otherwise (for internal snaps mostly) you will need the database object ID for the cleanup :

Delete a replication session of FS by FS OID:

svc_dataprotection -r repsess -a delete -o 0x2800000003

object ID can be obtained from svc_storagecheck --fs_oid
