ANS_) To insert table in Word document the method are as follows:-

1. Go to Insert tab.

2. In Tables group, click on the drop-down arrow of Table command.

3. A drop down menu opens

4. Click on insert table option

5. An Insert table dialog box open.

6. Specify the number of columns and number of rows.

7. Click OK button .

8. When a table is inserted you will notice that design and layout tab appear on the Ribbon under table
tools.

Q no 4) Ans - To split or divide a cell into multiple cells, follow the given steps:

1.Click in a cell, or select multiple cells that you want to split.

Under Table Tools, on the Layout tab, in the Merge group, click Split Cells.

Enter the number of columns or rows that you want to split the selected cells into.

To Merge cells into a single cell follow the given steps:

You can combine two or more table cells located in the same row or column into a single cell. For
example, you can merge several cells horizontally to create a table heading that spans several columns.

Step 1 Select the cells that you want to merge.

Step 2. Under Table Tools, on the Layout tab, in the Merge group, click Merge Cells.

1. Select the entire table.


2. Click on Table Tools and select Design tab.

3. In Borders group ,select the Border style drop down arrow button to select the style of border you
want to apply.

4. Choose the line style and line width .

5. click on dropdown Arrow of border command

6. select border and shading option .

8. select all option in settings section .

9. Select the style, colour and width of border.

10.you can preview it in preview section click ok button

To apply shading

1.Click on shading tab

2.click on the dropdown arrow of fill option .

3.choose colour for shading and click OK button.

you can also apply pattern for which you need to select the pattern and colour.

Q no 6) steps to convert text into table:-

1. Select the text that you want to convert, and then click Insert > Table > Convert Text to Table.

2. In the Convert Text to Table box, choose the options you want.

3. Under Table size, make sure the numbers match the numbers of columns and rows you want.

4. Click OK. The text converted to a table .

Steps to convert table into text.

Select the rows or table you want to convert to text.

On the Layout tab, in the Data section, click Convert to Text.

In the Convert to Text box, under Separate text with, click the separator character you want to use in
place of the column boundaries. Rows will be separated by paragraph marks.

Click OK.
Q no 7) steps to insert picture in Table cell.

Click in a Cell where you want a picture to appear

click on insert tab

In illustration group select pictures option.

The insert picture dialogue box opens.

Browse and select the picture you want to insert .

Click on insert button .

You will see that the picture is inserted in a selected cell.

Steps to calculate the tables values.

1.Enter a row at the bottom of the table.

2. Type the required field in the first cell.

3. Click in the last cell.

4. Go to Table Tools and select Layout tab.

5. Click on the drop down arrow of the data option .

A total of all values will be displayed in the selected cell.
