The colour is pale ruby, the nose is hauntingly evocative of a light-bodied Santenay, with a trace of grape jam and earth. Domaine du Salvard 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Unique 750 ml Ebulliently fresh, almost upliftingly youthful. 100% SB grown just outside the Cheverny AOC. The flavours are soft and piquant, and the low alcohol makes it easy -- almost necessary -- to enjoy an extra glass. Chinon * Charles Joguet 2010 Chinon Ros 750 ml IWC 89 This is 100% Cab Franc from its spiritual birthplace, Chinon. Fresh and lively fringed with exotic spices. Drink Pink Year Round! Muscadet ric Chevalier 2010 Muscadet Ctes de Grand Lieu 750 ml Remniscent of a morning by the seashore. Bright, light, and briny, with loads of limestone, and moderate acidity that keeps it crisp. Sancerre Domaine Hippolyte-Reverdy 2010 Sancerre 750 ml WS 91 Michel Reverdy has become the benchmark domaine of our times for the appellation. Very pure and generous. This is a lipsmacking SB that never goes out of fashion. Vouvray Champalou 2010 Vouvray Cuve Fondraux 750 ml This is an off-dry Chenin with its richer feel owing to it maturing on the lees for almost a year prior to bottling. Its a swirl of honey, lovely fruit, and cream balanced by refreshing Chenin Blanc acidity. Chteauneuf-du-Pape * Henri Brunier 2009 Chteauneuf-du-Pape Telegramme 750 ml WS 91 IWC 89-91 RP 88-90 This is a serious wine! Yet, it has the gorgeous fruity minerality that is round and fat, highlighting the beautiful approach of the younger vines (ha! 25 years old!) that it comes from. Ctes du Rhne Cuve Kermit Lynch 2008 Ctes du Rhne Rouge 750 ml Enormously appealing, aromatic, charming, and soft. Loads of black pepper and nutmeg. With Kermits name on the label, you cant go wrong! The 2009 blends the four Bordeaux varietals in perfect harmony, according to winemaker Andy Erickson. Notes of red currants, raspberry, licorice, and toasty oak provide a completely satisfying experience. Arietta 2009 Red Wine H Block Hudson Vineyard (4pk) 750 ml IWC 90-93 78% Cabernet Franc, 22% Merlot. Always a hallmark of Hudson Ranch, and quite possibly a definitive wine for the Carneros region, this Right Bank style blend is as distinctive as it is down-right tasty! More earthy on the nose, with hints of fresh blueberries, the 09 shows incredible finesse and balance, leading with fruit and layered with toast, leather, wild flowers, and whole grains. Ramey 2008 Napa Valley Rouge 750 ml WS 92 IWC 91 RP 90 Soft and beguiling with a smoky, earthy floral thing going down. Mocha, cassis, licorice. Suave tannins and richness. And, sadly, not as much to go around this year. CABERNET SAUVIGNON Arietta 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon (4pk) 750 ml IWC 92+ RP 91 A classically balanced expression of Napa Valley, the 2008 exhibits the hallmark characteristics of this variety from the southern end of the Valley: aromas of graphite, sage, and cassis, and flavours of rich currant imbued with a subtle minerality, all housed in a structured and ageworthy frame. * Rudd 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Estate 750 ml IWC 91 RP 95 Dense and intense. It has a gorgeous mouthfeel, is saturated purple in colour, and has a sweet nose that mixes blue/black berry fruit with baked earth notes, cedar, and tobacco. Dare say you can jump into this, but it promises to reward the patient. 1cs only. * Tom Eddy 2006 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon 750 ml When its Eddy its Ready, yet this wine is built for balance and longevity. CRU 2008 Chardonnay 750 ml Green apple, honey, white peach, and lots of tropical fruit-like pineapple in the nose give way to flavours of the same on the palate with additional layers of melon, hazelnut, and a distinct minerality. Neyers 2010 304 (Stainless) Chardonnay 750 ml IWC 89 Wonderfully aromatic with a touch of lemon zest and ripe pear. Its crisp and fresh with loads of flavour. Ramey 2009 Russian River Chardonnay 750 ml IWC 92 Tanzer says this comes across like a California version of a premier cru from Chassagne-Montrachet. A hint of truffle, hint of smoke, lots of orchard fruit, and clean acidity.

Ripe black and red berry fruit dance amidst Small Vines hallmark acidity. If you can exercise restraint and not knock back the bottle, patience will be rewarded (the key word is IF). SAUVIGNON/SEMILLON * Arietta 2010 White Wine, On the White Keys 750 ml 80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Semillon. According to Arietta: The goal of the winemaking is to marry a vibrant entry to a long and complex finish.
