Power distribution box

The power distribution box is used for the voltage supply. Consumers connected to the power distribution box
include the following:

Valvetronic

Ignition and fuel injection

Electric coolant pump

The power distribution box contains fuses and relays. If one of the fuses or one of the relays is faulty, the
complete power distribution box must be replaced.

The power distribution box is only installed with certain petrol engines (e.g. N20, N52TU, N55).

Functional description

The fuse box supplies the power distribution box using a battery cable with terminal 30. The battery cable is
directly connected to the power distribution box. All outputs connected to the power distribution box are protected
with fuses. Terminal 30 is connected to each output.

The engine control unit (DME) is supplied with voltage via the DME main relay from terminal 15N ON.

Terminal 15N

Terminal 15N is used for the voltage supply of control units and components that are required for "Ignition ON".
Terminal 15N is activated together with the logical terminal 15 by pushing the start/stop button. Terminal 15N is
switched off with a specified after-running period after switching off the logical terminal 15.
