Control Systems Engineering - LAB II

Lect. Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah

Tuesday 20th February, 2024

Assignment 1: Due date: 12/3/2024

1 CASE I
Consider the following a negative and unity feedback system, the plant G(s) and feedback of
H(s), are given below. Use MATLAB to study the effect of adding different compensating
poles to the intersection of asymptotes with real-axis. (Construct a Table of two coloums,
the first for Gc (s)i and the second for centriod point).

2 CASE II
Use the same block diagram in CASE I, but with the following updated plant G(s), then
Study the effect of adding the compensating zeros to the centroid location and to the maxi-
mum value of the Gain (K) that makes the system marginally stable. (Construct a Table of
three coloums, the first for Gc (s)i , the second for centriod point, and the third for Gain, K).
