Technical Requirements for Autointegration Process

1. Hardware and Initial Setup Requirements

 Power Supply:
o Ensure power cable is connected to eNB.
o Connect the GPS/GLONASS antenna to the "ANT/TP" port (unless using IEEE
1588v2 synchronization).
 Connectivity:
o Connect optical cables to RRH and corresponding CPRI ports on the board.
o Connect eNB to the transport network via transport port BH#0 or BH#1 (BH#2
should not be used initially).
 Configuration Data:
o Gather configuration data for the eNB (e.g., frequency band, number of cells,
RRH types, antenna models).
o Prepare data on permanent transport interfaces (VLAN, IP, Gateway IP, etc.).
o Ensure VLANs 444, 23XX, and 33XX are configured on the transport network
side.
 DHCP Server Configuration:
o Vendor Class Identifier: Option 60 = Samsung.
o Other IP Configuration: DHCP Option 43 = MC (Master Controller) IP (code 10).

2. Environmental Configuration (Initial Variables)

 Boot Mode:
o Set BOOTMODE=DHCP.
 VLAN and LAG Configuration:
o Assign VLAN 444 to transport ports.
o Configure PORT_0_0_0_VLANID=444, PORT_0_0_1_VLANID=444.
o Disable Link Aggregation Group (LAG) settings by deleting PORT_0_X_Y_LAGID.

3. Initial Power-Up and IP Address Assignment

 Power-Up Sequence:
o Power on the eNB, which loads the operating system and applies environmental
settings.
 Temporary IP Address:
o eNB sends a DHCP Discover message to obtain a temporary IP address and the IP
of the Management Server (MS).
o The DHCP server responds with a DHCP Offer message containing these details.

4. Console Access and Initial Setup

 Console Access:
o Connect directly to the management board or access through LSM (Large Scale
Management).
o Credentials for console access:
 Login: lteuser
 Password: samsunglte
 ROOT: su -
 ROOT Password: S@msung1te
 Serial Number and Geographic Coordinates:
o Obtain the serial number using the command getinv.
o Get geographic coordinates using the command posstat from the UCR module.

5. Creating and Configuring eNB in LSM

 Network Group:
o Create a network group in LSM TreeViewer if not already existing.
 eNB Creation:
o Use Create eNB tool in LSM, inputting:
 Network group
 NE Type: [MACRO OUTDOOR DIST]
 NE Version: SLR 6.0
 NE ID and Name
 Serial Number
 Location and other details.
 Transport Interfaces:
o Create permanent transport interfaces (OAM and S1/X2) using VLAN 23XX and
33XX.
o Use CLI commands like CRTE-VLAN-CONF and CRTE-IP-ADDR to set up these
interfaces.

6. RET Device Configuration

 Identification and Registration:

o Identify and register RET devices via ALD Manager.
o Scan for new devices and resolve discrepancies.
 Antenna Profile Loading:
o Load the antenna profile in two stages: first to eNB, then to RET devices using
commands like DNLD-FW and UDT-RET-CFG.
 Calibration:
o Calibrate RET devices using the command TEST-ANT.
o Check for errors and resolve using RTRV-RET-ALM.
 Setting Tilt Angle:
o Set the electrical tilt angle using CHG-RET-DATA.
o Verify with RTRV-RET-DATA.

7. Final Steps and Verification

 Route Configuration:
o Create routes to LSM and default gateway using CRTE-IP-ROUTE.
 Interface Testing:
o Verify S1 interface status with RTRV-S1-STS.
o Test OAM interface connectivity using TEST-EPING.
 Cleanup Temporary Configurations:
o Remove temporary VLAN 444 and associated interfaces.
o Delete temporary IP routes and environmental variables related to initial setup.

Autointegration Process Flow

1. Preparation:
o Ensure all hardware connections and initial environmental variables are set up.
o Configure the DHCP server with the necessary options.
2. Initial Power-Up:
o Power on the eNB and allow it to receive a temporary IP address from the DHCP
server.
3. Console Access:
o Access the eNB console to gather serial number and geographic coordinates.
4. eNB Creation in LSM:
o Create and configure the eNB in LSM, ensuring all necessary details and
interfaces are set up.
5. RET Device Setup:
o Identify, register, and configure RET devices, including loading antenna profiles
and calibration.
6. Permanent Configuration:
o Set up permanent VLANs and IP addresses.
o Create necessary IP routes and verify interface functionality.
7. Final Verification:
o Test and confirm all configurations.
o Remove any temporary settings used during the initial setup.

By following these technical requirements and the detailed process flow, the autointegration of a
new BTS/eNB into the network can be efficiently achieved.
