also known as the “Implementation of
Catch-up Fridays” is the
department’s persistent commitment
in delivering quality, relevant,
inclusive, and responsive basic
education. This is to strengthen the
basic education priorities mentioned
and emphasized in the MATATAG
Agenda and speed up all the
achievements of the education targets
as stipulated I DepEd Order No. 13 s.
2023 entitled “Adoption of the
National Learning Recovery Program
(NLRP). One of the considerations is
to implement Catch-up Friday.
This Project intensifies likewise
Values, Health, and Peace Education
aside from English and Filipiono for
the reading activities.
The Project aims to do following:
a. all Fridays of January
2024shall be dedicated to the
“Drop Everything and Read”
(DEAR) Activity and
orientation.
b. serves as a learning
mechanism intended to
strengthen the foundational,
social, and other relevant skills
necessary to actualize the
intent of the basic education
curriculum.
c. Revolves around monthly
theme/subthemes in Values,

implication of the implementation of
Project RESCUE in Tarlac City
Schools Division is in response to
Catch-up Fridays and the said
project entails less burden and cost-
efficient result for the said program.
Intensified standards for the learning
materials and the lessons to be
taught for the Catch-up Fridays
Recommendations
including the considerations of the
Higher Order Thinking Skills of the
learners.
Catch-up Fridays comprehensively
collaborates the academic standing of
the learners and skills development
Highlights of the Activity through the activities executed using
Project RESCUE for the holistic
