    AN EXECUTIVE ORDER MANDATING THE MAINTENANCE & SUSTAINABILITY OF


    COMMUNITY GARDENING AND HOUSE TO HOUSE GARDENING OF THE RESIDENTS OF
    BARANGAY NANGALASAUAN AMULUNG, CAGAYAN.

    WHEREAS, our time has come that we must learn to properly manage our world
    particularly the narrowing area of lands that we are sharing altogether under the sun and upon
    the cradle of the earth because that we are all aware that we are not decreasing in number but
    we are multiplying instead.
    WHEREAS, this phenomenon has been the major dilemma of our aging generation
    because somehow, we are no longer innocent about the effect of population boom, not only does
    we are going to learn on how to minimize space that we would need for our homes but we are
    also going to adapt ourselves to measures that would attend to our specific needs in response to
    land conversion programs of the Government in order to cater to industrial and commercial
    development.
    WHEREAS, a particular effect of land conversion is the shortage in food supply while
    demand is constantly surging higher because of the population increase hence the need to utilize
    the remaining spaces within our backyards for gardening is imperative.
    WHEREAS, the Barangay Government to provide the community with the best example
    shall established the community garden, and oblige every household to established a house-to-
    house gardening most especially the 4P’s Beneficiaries.
    NOW THEREFORE, I, JAMES P. CASTILLET, Punong Barangay of Barangay Dugayung
    Amulung, Cagayan, by virtue of the power vested in me by lae, do hereby mandating the
    maintenance & sustainability of community and house to house gardening of the residents of
    Barangay Dugayung Amulung, Cagayan with the following features to wit:
    1. A community garden shall be established in the barangay, to be maintained
    and sustained by barangay officials.
    2. The Municipal Agriculture Office shall provide for the seedlings and seeds to be used
    in this project.
    3. Every house in this barangay is mandated to have a house garden most especially to
    the 4P’s Members.
    4. 4 P’s families and the under-weight Pre-school children are expected to benefit from
    this project.

    SECTION 2. POWER AND FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BARANGAY
    POPDEV COMMITTEE:
    1. House to house visitation and conduct IEC about the importance of House-to-
    House Gardening and community gardening.
    2. Oblige house members to contribute about the food safety and work for their
    common good.
    3. Evaluate and craft/create a program that will encourage every household to join
    the Barangay Program.
    SECTION 3. BUDGETARY SUPPORT:
    Source of fund from the barangay officials (IN KIND).
    SECTION 4. EFFECTIVITY:
    This executive order shall take effect immediately upon approval and shall remain
    in force until it is revoked and/or annulled.
