1. Business identification.
The business selected is the innovation of the automotive industry and the name
of the company is Auto-Tech innovations.
2. Description of the project to be executed.
The project that our team is responsible for is the develop of and Electric Vehicle
(EV) charging infrastructure network in the city of Windsor to supply the high
demand on the electrical vehicle acquisitions.
3. Purpose and goals of the project.
Purpose and goals for the project are detail bellow:
Purpose Goals
To establish a comprehensive network of EV Install charging stations in mayor urban and
charging stations to support the increase of the transit areas and along key highway in the city
electrical vehicles demand. of Windsor.
Ensure compatibility with most of the brands of
electrical vehicles.
Archive a network coverage that promotes EV
adoption and sustainability.
4. Roles of the company for this project.
The main roles needed for the execution of the project are detail below:
Roles Responsibilities
Project Manager Lead the overall planning, coordination, and
execution of the EV charging infrastructure project
Civil Engineer Department Responsible for site assessments, permitting and
overseeing the civil construction of the charging
stations.
Electrical Engineer Department Responsible to ensure the electrical design and
the compatibility of the charging stations.
Marketing Department Develops strategies to promote the new EV
charging networks and attract users.
Operation Department Create the day-to-day plan to operate the stations
including the maintenance plan.
Environmental Department Responsible to ensure that the project meet all the
environmental requirements and regulations that
the city has per standard.
5. Project organizational structure.
The organizational structure for this project is the functional structure. This
structure is selected due the nature of the project and the departments involved;
in this structure each departments have their own employers that reports to a
main leader. These leaders report the project progress and status to the general
project manager.
The hierarchy of authority is as follow:
1. Project Manager.
2. Civil engineer leader, electrical engineer leader, marketing leader, operations
leader, environmental leader.
3. Senior engineers.
4. Junior engineers.
5. Construction workers.

For the forming stage the main task and activities are:
Team introduction and orientation to the EV infrastructure project.
Defining project goals, milestones, individual responsibilities.
Establish of the communication channels and the team’s protocols.

Addressing any conflicts or differences in opinions related to project
activities.
Adjusting roles and responsibilities base on emerging challenges or team
dynamics.
Identifying potential obstacles to project implementation and developing
contingency plans.
7. Project team culture.
For the team culture we are selecting for the servant leadership because the
complexity of the project required a leader capable of facilitate the team
necessities and aid in the areas that require more attention. To have an
effective organization group it is needed to create a culture of collaboration
and empathy, where team members are empowered to contribute ideas and
solve problems. Since servant leadership emphasizes serving the team and
enabling their success, fostering a supportive environment will enhance the
effectiveness of the organization.
8. Lessons learned.
By doing this assignment I learn:
How to create and organizational chart base on the type of project and
deliverables of it.
Select a team culture that can provide unity and identity to a team.
Identify the roles needed to create a project base on the deliverables and
goals of the team.
