Section 5 CHOICE OF AS/A LEVEL SUBJECTS FOR STUDY – NOT APPLICABLE FOR JUNE STARTS
All students are expected to select 4 AS subjects from the blocks below.
We will do our best to ensure your choice is available given that entry requirements are met. However, very
occasionally we may ask a student to change subjects if the groupings are not possible.
All subjects follow the two-stage assessment: the AS is externally assessed at the end of the first year of study, the A2
or
full A Level at the end of the second year of study. Students may drop down to 3 subjects in their second year.
Please tick as appropriate. Your combination of subject is limited to one subject from each of the blocks below.
THIS SECTION SHOULD BE COMPLETED BY ALL APPLICANTS (See back page for guidance notes on how to
complete this section).

Section 7 DECLARATION
“We hereby confirm that the information given on this form is true, complete and accurate and no information requested
has been omitted.”
Please note that an omission of information will lead to a delay in processing of applications.
This is your chance to tell us why you have chosen to apply to Maru a Pula School for A/AS Levels and why we
should want you as a student.
We will want to know why you are interested in the subjects you have applied for and what you hope to do after

and your writing should not be too small. If you are using a word processor for your personal statement you may
copy it onto your application.
Consider carefully the information you give to support your application and the best way to present it effectively.
Remember, you must be truthful and accurate in what you write. It is up to you how you write your statement but
we suggest you include some or all of the following points.
