CULTURAL EVENTS
EVENT: ALANKAR (SINGING)
Team size: Solo or Duet (Duet can include one vocalist and one accompanying
instrumentalist)
1. Round I: online round
2. Round II: Live performance
3. All participants must have a valid ID card (Aadhar card or college ID
card).
FINE ARTS
EVENT: PAINT-X (PAINTING)
Rules:
1.In this event, participants can display their creativity on a blank chart paper
(provided by the organizers).
2.The participants have to choose and use any one of 6 themes, which will be
given 24 hours prior to the event for their work. Drawing sheets (A3) will be
provided to each group. Candidates will not be allowed to carry any reference or
mobile phones during the event.
3.You are free to use any medium to create your art work.
4.Any explicit content shall lead to straight disqualification.
5.Participants must bring required items to create the artwork.
6.Participants should strictly report 30 mins prior to the starting time of the
event or else he/she will be disqualified.
Rules:
1.Participants need to draw a picture on a given theme.
2.Themes will be revealed 15 mins prior to the start time of the event but
candidates will not be allowed to carry any reference or mobile phones during
the event.
3.A4 sheets will be provided only once. Participants are requested not to spoil
them. An A4 sheet would be given which could be used for roughwork.
4.Any explicit content shall lead to straight disqualification.
5.Participants must bring their own graphite pencils, erasers and other required
items to create the sketch (liners, pens, brushes, etc).
6.Participants should strictly report 30 mins prior to the starting time of the
event or else he/she will be disqualified.

EVENT: ART PIXELS (DIGITAL ART)
TEAM SIZE: 1
TIME LIMIT: 2.5 hours
Rules:
1.Participants need to draw a digital art/illustration on a given theme.
2.Themes will be revealed 15 mins prior to the start time of the event but
candidates will not be allowed to carry any reference during the event.
3.Participants have to bring their own digital gadgets (graphic tablets, iPad,
tablets, etc) for the event.
4.After the start of the event, participant should not look at references in their
digital gadgets. If anyone caught cheating, he/she will be disqualified.
5.Participants should report strictly 30 mins prior to the starting time of the
event or else he/she will be disqualified.

of your choice.

DEBATE AND DRAMATICS
EVENT: DAIS INTERDICTION (DEBATE)

Description:
Debate is a process that involves formal discussion on a particular topic. In a
debate, opposing arguments are put forward to argue for opposing viewpoints. It
is a formal discussion, often with a moderator and an audience, in addition to the
debate participants. The participants will be evaluated based on criteria decided
by the judge(s).
Prelims:
● Teams of two (one for, one against)
● Time limit: 2+1 minutes.
● No interjections for participants, although the judge(s) may ask questions
based on their choices.
● The event will be conducted in two rounds (Prelims and Finals).
● The topics shall be conveyed to you on our Instagram account.
● Usage of any language other than English is prohibited.
● Inter-college teams allowed. Although the participants must be students
in a UG or PG program of a college and must carry a valid ID card on the
day of the event.
Finals:
● One team will present the argument as the Government and the other as
the Opposition.
● The respective speakers from the government will be the Prime Minister
and the Whip.
Similarly, the respective speakers for the Opposition would be-the
Leader of the Opposition and the Whip.
● The Prime Minister will present the opening argument for a total time of
3+1 minutes, followed by the leader of the opposition from the other
team for a total time of 3+1 minutes.
● The whip of the government speaks after them of a timespan of 2+1
minutes followed by the whip of the opposition.
● You will get to know on the spot whether your team is the government
or the opposition party, it is advisable to prepare for both.
● In case of any changes in the rules of the finals, the participants will be
informed well in advance.
Note:
● Obscenity or vulgarity will not be tolerated and will amount to instant
disqualification.
Description: The objective behind this event for the participants to showcase
their talents and creativity and appreciate the drama as a form of literature and
cherish its beauty in language and emotions. Each Team shall be performing a
small play of their own choosing, where the content of the act can be anything
which you find moving or interesting.
Rules:
Total number of participants: 12-20.
Time of performance: 13+3 min.
No props are allowed.
However, participants can remove the chunri/dupatta wrapped around
their waists and use them as props.
Instruments like dholak and dhapli are allowed.
Dress code will not be the judging criteria.
No changing rooms will be provided.
Street play must be performed in Hindi. No phrases/sentences in English
are allowed however English words can be used.
Negative marking for falling short/exceeding the time limit (-1 per
minute).
Negative marking/disqualifying for vulgarity (on the discretion of the
judges).
Introduction of the team at the end of the performance is a must.
However, this will not be included in the time limit.
All teams must report to the venue 30 min in advance.
Failing to perform on time in the slot provided will lead to immediate
disqualification of the team. Use of the complete stage is necessary.
Copying from any video or from YouTube is strictly not advisable, points
will be deducted (on the discretion of the judges) if found so. Create
original content.
Street play should be strictly on the topic and should not contain any
vulgar jokes.
Teams are advised not to address any specific political party
agenda/leaders or revolve around political issues.
Extra points for using instruments (dholak and dhapli only)
3 or more continuous English words are not allowed else will lead to
negative marking,
Finals-
● The judge will declare the rules and moderate the event (The general
pattern of the event will remain the same, but the judge will specify the
nuances of the event).
Note:
● Humour is appreciated, but obscenity or vulgarity will not be tolerated
and will amount to instant disqualification.
● The participants must be students in a UG or PG program of a college and
must carry a valid ID card on the day of the event.
Genre: This quiz is not genre specific; the questions will be from a wide range
of topics.
Rules:
The event will be conducted in two rounds.
The quizmaster shall have the final say in case of any dispute.
The quizmaster shall make changes if they so desire.
Prelims:
The event will be conducted using Kahoot.
The top 15 participants of the first round move into the final round.
Finals:
Top 15 of the last round will compete here for glory.
The top three after evaluation will be declared winners.
Note:
● The participants must be students in a UG or PG program of a college and
must carry a valid ID card on the day of the event.
Rules:
• Each team must consist of only one person.
• The event is divided into two rounds, Prelim, and the Finals.
EVENT: COMICSTAAN
Team Size: Solo
Time Limit: ---
Rules:
•4 comic strip parts will be provided to each participant.
•The participants must make sure to include at least 2 of the templates provided.
•Dialogues must be original which are to be filled by the participants in the
comic strip.
•More than two comic strips can be submitted, out of which the best two will be
considered by the judges.
•Judgement will be done based on individuality and creativity.
Disclaimer:
The decision of the judges will be final and binding. The organizing committee
reserves the right to make any last-minute change in the rules.
