● Money (funding)

Know your customers

● Identify who your customers could be
● Does your target customer experience the problem your product solves?
● Are customers aware that they have this problem?
● Would your target customers pay for your solution? How much would
they pay?

Types of interviews
● Validating the problem
○ if this app existed, would people use it? How often?
○ What currently fills that need?
○ Where is there a need for our app?
● Validating the solution
○ how much would people pay for your app?
○ Does your app match the customer’s lifestyle?
○ Does it fit?
○ Is it important for it to be cool?
○ Is it designed the right way? Know your target audience and see if it
would be good for them.

DO NOT DO THIS: DO NOT ASK IF THEY LIKE THE APP-NO LEADING QUESTIONS
Instead: ask open-ended questions

○ make sure you understand them and others can too
● Figure out who to talk to and where they are
● How many do you need?
○ talk to as many people as you can
○ when you heard the same thing over and over again, you’ve got a
trend.

Analyzing your results

● Compare your findings to your assumptions
● Questions to consider:
○ What are some conclusions you can draw?
○ What are some trends you see?
○ Did u get the information you were looking for?

● Find competitor data

1. Why would they use our app: to get money, to gain work
experience before being able to apply…. Employers can obtain
service
2. What's important: to be secure, safe, easy to use, help people to
find jobs near them, simple, effective, get profit
3. What’s the value: gain work experience, for employers to get
service, it is easy to search/find matches, service would be a lot
cheaper/do not need to pay more money as they are much
