HP8570P-OpenCore
HP8570P OpenCore

Enhanced OpenCore configuration file and EFI folder. Used this Base folder for starting the project.

Tested with High SIerra and Catalina.


Tested Big Sur 11.5. Xcode started crashing. Fixid by issuing:

README defaults write com.apple.dt.Xcode DVTDisableMainThreadChecker 1

What works?

Ughh... everything with the exception of the "What does not work" below?

The Power Managment SSDT.aml is based on the i5-3340M CPU. You need to generate one for your own CPU if it is different following this
guide

What does not work?

I will add to this section if/when I find it along the road...

How it runs?

Lightning fast. Better than my MacBookPro11,3.

Hardware Summary:

Use GenSmbios to generate and insert the MacBookPro10,2 (or whatever you like) SmBios personalization to the config.plist. Follow the
instrucrions in the script.

Upgrading to Big Sur requires injecting SMBIOS (or at least board-id) for MacBookPro11,2 or MacBookPro11,4

Upgrading to Monterey requires injecting SMBIOS (or at least board-id) for MacBookPro11,4 and HD4000 drivers patching. There are some
caveats

Credits:

vzahradnik for the original configuration folder
Mald0n for the battery status, audio, power management, and the DSDT patching.
