Microsoft Word (30 marks)

1. Open a new Word document and then save the file as ASG 1 Word (Your Name_Group).
(1 mark)

2. Create a footer that includes your Full Name and Student ID at the right margin of your
document footer. Format them to 10-point Arial font and right aligned the information.

3. Type the following text as flyer:

4. Change the text in the second line of the flyer to 16-point Arial Rounded MT Bold. Apply
any glow effect to the text.

5. Draw attention to the flyer’s headline “Farewell Party Invitation” as follows:

a. Change the Paragraph Spacing Before and After to 42 points.


b. Change the case to UPPERCASE.
c. Change the font to Script MT Bold, size 48 points.
d. Change the font color to Black, Text 1 Lighter 25%

6. Select third and fourth lines of text in the flyer and create a bulleted list to the selected
text.

7. Change the font of the text in the bulleted list to 16-point Bookman Old Style, font color to
Dark Red, Accent 6, Darker 25%.

8. Change the text “Theme: Black and Gold” to 16-point Arial Rounded MT Bold font. Apply
the Outline text effect to the same text to Gold, Accent 5.

9. Select the two last line of the text in the flyer, choose any font style, size 18-point, gold
color. Make a hyperlink for the email address.

10. Search for online picture of “farewell party” and insert the picture centered on the blank
line below the headline. Resize the picture to fit the line and apply Reflected Bevel Black
frame.

11. The entire flyer should fit on a single page. Apply the Center vertical alignment to the
entire page.

12. Finish the flyer by adding a page border by selecting the 6th option from the border Style
list, change the width of the border to 2 1/4 pt and Orange color.

13. Save the document.
