This offer is made on the basis of the statement of your qualifications presented in your
application. It is subject to the satisfactory verification of these qualifications by the University
authorities. In view of this you must bring with you the original and copies of your academic
certificates, KCSE result slip, one passport size photo, National identity card or birth
certificate during the registration day. It is also subject to your adherence to University Rules
and Regulations.
Please note that this offer does not include a place in the halls of residence. You are required to
book accommodation from the University website, www.kyu.ac.ke, ³KUCCPS´tab after paying
accommodation fees of K.Shs. 5,000 through Cooperative Bank Account provided, at the bank
teller (Not Agents). Accommodation is offered on a first come first served basis. Unsuccessful
candidates will have their accommodation fees forwarded to your tuition account. Private
accommodations information is also available from our website, µstudents´tab then
³accommodation´for your perusal.
Kindly download fees structure and the detailed joining instructions for your information from our
website www.kyu.ac.ke under the tab, µKUCCPS¶You should dully fill all admission
documents/forms and return to the University on the day of registration.
Following your placement in Kirinyaga University, you are eligible to apply for a Government
scholarship, loan and bursary to assist with your education expenses. If you require the support
you MUST make an application for consideration through the official scholarship, loan and
Bursary application portal www.hef.co.ke. Should the government support not be sufficient to
cover the entire cost of the programme, you shall be required to pay the remaining fee balance.
You are encouraged to apply for GoK support early enough.
OTHER CONDITIONS FOR REGISTRATION
A) Original pay-in Slips should be presented to the University during registration. You will not be
registered as a student before payment of the required fees.
B) You are required to present medical report Adm-F5 (Part II), chest x -ray film and Chest x-
ray radiologist report to the university medical officer during registration.
C) The document KyU Rules and Regulations governing the conduct and discipline of Students
at the University must be thoroughly read, comprehended and kept for future reference. Your
studies will be governed by these and faculty regulations.
D) The student handbook and student guide uploaded to your portal will guide your day to day
activities, you are required to read them.
E) The University reserves the right of admission. Any offer of admission is made without
prejudice to right of the University to vary or withdraw it if information comes to the notice of the
University (whether relating to events occurring before or after the date of the offer) which could
reasonably have influenced the University¶s decision if known at the time the offer was made.
F) The University reserves the right to withdraw an offer of a place, or terminate a student¶s
enrolment if it discovers subsequently that a candidate has given false (or only provided partial)
information in their application or has provided false or fraudulent documentation in support of
their application(s).
G) This offer is valid for two (2) consecutive academic years after which it lapses. In the event that
you do not report during the registration date (current academic year), you are allowed to defer
your studies for one year by filling and submitting deferment form available on the website.
H) You are required to bring your own laptop to enable you access the necessary e-learning
resources and actively participate in some of the courses offered online.
All communication from the University will be done through the University website and your
KyU student email. You are therefore advised to regularly access the University website and your
KyU email account for any new information regarding your studentship.
