Plan of Internship Program

3.1 Plan of Internship Program


3.1.1 A brief introduction of the branch or department where I
performed my internship

I performed my internship in the Advertising Marketing &


Commerce Business line under Business area Customer & Marketing
under the Legal entity Deloitte Consulting India Pvt Lt. My capability
is marketing and sub-capability is SFMC.

3.1.2 The starting and ending dates of my internship

I joined Deloitte USI on Jan 16, 2023 and I am learning and


developing various skills, my internship ends on July 14, 2023. It
has been more than 3 months of Internship, but I have learned so
many things in these 3 months not only in my technical skills, but it
also evolved me professionally in the working environment.

3.1.3 The names of the departments in which I obtained


training and the duration of my training in these
departments.

I have worked in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud where we create


journeys, campaigns, automation of journeys. I have worked on
Interaction Studio, Email Studio and Contact Builder etc. I have
been working on SFMC for more than 3 months now.

Training Program

Duties and Responsibilities Performed


While working as an intern in an organization, intern works with a team so
there are various duties and responsibilities:-

Taking part in meetings or discussion


As an intern while working meetings and discussions were very important
for me. By meeting and discussions, I used the get various idea’s like how
company approaches a project, how company works on the project, what
is my role, skills I require to work on, and work is allotted to all members
in discussion or meetings by taking their views about the concept.

Making Presentations
Making presentation is one of the important tasks. Presentations are used
at various times such as for providing information about company, for
providing information about the software to the clients, for showing the
progress of software to the client, for explaining various topics, for
explaining software making process and many more.

Brushing up my Skills
As an intern it is my duty as well as responsibility to brush up my skills
while working. While working in a team I must poses good communication
skills to take part in meetings. As an intern, I was working in organization
for first time so, it is responsibility to learn organization skills. So,
brushing up was an important task for me as an intern.

Reporting Task Completion


As an intern, task were allotted to me by my mentor and time was also
allotted to complete the task. So, it was very important for me report
about the completion of task to the mentor and if due to some reason
task was not completed then asking for extra time from mentor for
completion of task, if task is completed then taking new task from the
mentor.

Project Description:-

Advertisement creates, edit and delete feature is added in this


application. In This Project front-end is created using HTML, CSS, JS and
for backend Nodejs and Express is used and for database MySQL is used.
The whole architecture of this project is on Salesforce Marketing Cloud
i.e., SFMC.

Browser Support
Personalization browser support generally aligns with Marketing Cloud browser
support. Exceptions are:
• Visual Editor - Personalization tests the Visual Editor with Google Chrome.
If you use the Visual Editor in other browsers, full functionality cannot be
guaranteed.
• Web SDK - The Personalization Web SDK requires native Promise support
in the browser for proper web tracking. This functionality is supported by
most browsers. However, Internet Explorer is not supported.
Drive impact on websites with personalization use cases that other customers
have used in web campaigns for financial services.
Personalize the website to increase the conversion rate at each step along the
path, consider the customer lifecycle with its six key stages.
Determine the qualification criteria for each stage of the funnel, and what you
want prospects or customers to do to advance to the next stage. Then, layer in
real-time personalization that makes it easier for website visitors to continue
the journey.

CHAPTER 5
Learning Experience

5.1.1 Knowledge acquired:


I gained a lot of knowledge and experience through internship period. From
training period that started on Jan 16, 2023, I gained much knowledge. The
knowledge gained and skills acquired through this internship are things that
complemented and enhanced the education I obtained in the classroom.
I learnt web development, Advance concept of Cloud Computing, Learned the
key concept and basic workflow of SFMC and Learned Postman usage for API
testing. I successfully submitted the project with all the functionalities.
During the internship, I learnt a lot of things from my mentor:
• I learnt to reply to all the mails I get. He replied to all the emails, even
when I can imagine how busy he would have been.
• I learnt how to be nicer. As I was nice, already.
• I learnt that no question is stupid. You will learn. Everyone have their first
time and that can be at any moment, at any age. If they are curious and
want to know about something that is more than enough.
• I learned a lot of practical things about the industry that they cannot
possibly teach inside the college.
• I learnt I can manage things.
• I can handle pressure.
• If someone says a no, I now knew I can get things done by myself.
Throughout those three months I gained valuable experience that I can now
proudly speak about to future employers. I was able to improve my time
management skills, and I have a better overall appreciation of teamwork. All in
all, the atmosphere at the crystal office is simply uplifting and fun and I enjoyed
working with such a great and impressive team.

font, Text, Padding, Margin, Border, list CSS, hovering and elements)
• Advance CSS (border-radius, opacity, cursor, layers, position, display,
float, gradient, and multiple-column)
• Concept of Menus (single menu, dropdown menu)
• Template, design using CSS div.

JavaScript:
• Basic JavaScript (Syntax, Enable, Location, Operators, Variables,
Events, Alert, Confirm, Prompt, POP up, Date, print)

5.1.3 Observed Attitudes and values gained


In this internship I found the various important values that helps me in
the further professional life in future. The first and the main thing I
learned is the Time Management because in the internship mentors
assigned the task and there is the time limit within which it must be
completed. Second one is the Teamwork or Team spirit, to make even a
small project it’s required the team work in which there were many
people.
Cooperation and coordination– Internship taught me how to work in a
team with your co developers and with other departments. In any
company teamwork is the key to deliver high performance. Coordination
between the teammates is very necessary to complete a project in time.

CHAPTER 6
Conclusion

It was a complete great and useful experience working at Deloitte USI. The
friendly nature of the company welcome intern with better opportunities and
overall growth of the employee. Company provide various opportunities to
intern to see the IT sector is quite easy to work with most motivated staff.
Other Employee are always there to help you out for any difficulties. This
internship came as a booster to me to realise my strength in the field of
software development and other things that I need to make up. Goal of
internship is to provide opportunities to employee work in a real world
experience. This internship was my first real world experience to work in any
software development company. This three month of internship was highly
learning experience one for me. In this period, they provide opportunities to
interact with client and finding the requirement of the client. In this various
clients of different state also interact with and gaining the knowledge of what
software company goes through from sign a quotation with client to the giving
software to the end client. This Internship helps me to apply my analysis skill in
the software and contribute to company for the better software development in
the real world software development. As a start of internship, we work on one
of some of the demo project as the company trust is gained they give us client
to build the software for the particular client. This internship provides
opportunities how the meeting happen and client requirement taken. Since I
have work on various department such as designing (front end), developing
(Back-end) and also gave me chance to contribute to team as team-player and
make new changes as jasper designing is used now a days in the company. In
Overall I learned a lot About NodeJS, HTML and CSS and the benefits of web
Application which is associated with in MERN. I have been able to learn the
practical knowledge about the product in the market. This internship is so
helpful now I confident I can develop a web application on my own and can
delivered to client according to its need.
