1.0 PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This document describes the software features of [Onbridge]

RLWSIL provides complete weight and data management software for static scales. It enables the computer to
process vehicle weighing transactions, print tickets and reports, and share data with other systems.

Weighbridge Software will provide users with a weighing and computing system featuring extensive data
extraction, collection and processing functions. This Weighbridge software solution was designed to help the
customer to manage and track the critical information created at the time of weighing.

Collected data stored in daily files which could be used to produce weekly reports in the weighbridge office and
could also be accessed directly in the planning office.

Reports are designed to give all kinds of output as required. Reports can be made available for all the parameters
to give users an in-depth analysis of their business. Weighing software also has an option for exporting of reports
in different formats like Microsoft Excel, TEXT, CSV, PDF and XML.

2.1 VERSATILE CONNECTIVITY WITH WEIGHBRIDGE, SCALES AND COMMUNICATION.

The “OnBridge” software will have the facility to configure upto 4 nos. of Weighbridges (Scales)and connect any
weight Indicator with the required Baud rate, data bit, weight data start and end index. The screens shown below
illustrates the Weighbridge selection, Weighbridge Settings, Indicator Settings and Communication protocol
settings.

WeighbridgeSettings

The system will enquire whether the Scale1 is ACTIVE or not. Also, it will display the Weighbridge number which
can be changed as per the customer requirement, Units can be in Kilograms or in Tons, Capacity of the Scale also
needs to be entered.

Indicator Settings

The Indicators from the following list can be selected and interfaced with the Application Software. The weigh
module which will be a common function through which certain parameters are passed, to get the exact weight
data from the weighing electronics.

· 920i Indicator
· 720i Indicator
· 420i Indicator
· S460 Indicator
· Others

The weight can be receivedfrom the weight Indicator using 2 type of modes

a) Request Mode
b) Continuous dumping Mode.

a) Request Mode

The software will send the appropriate query to the weight Indicator to get the weight packet. On
successful receipt of the query the Indicator will send the weight to the PC. The PC will display a message
as “Indicator Communication OK” and the weight will be displayed. If the queries are not answered by the
Indicator, the PC after sending 4 or 5 request will display an error
message “Indicator Communication Not OK”

b) Continuous Dumping

Parameters like Packet start position and the weight packet length are to be declared for successful
communication with the weight indicator. The software will wait for the weight packets and on successful
communication, it will display a message “Indicator Communication OK” and the weight will be displayed
else the system will wait for a time delay and display the message “Indicator Communication Not OK”

Communication Settings

In the communication setting module, system will display 2 options 1) RS232 and 2) TCP/IP. The following
parameters are to be set for the selection of RS232 to interface with the weighing electronics. The settings will
work both in Request Mode and in Continuous Dumping Mode.
