Good leaders are not born, they are made.

A leader has a
clear vision. No matter what the situation, leaders communicate
their ideas clearly and commit themselves to the outcome. A
leader transforms his vision by gaining the trust and commitment
of his team members. He/she has the ability to influence an
organisation and to develop cooperative relations so as to be a
team player.

Serving as on officer in our Club is an honor and is part of our


Toastmaster Promise. Holding quality elections to select those best
prepared and ready to serve the club and its members as part of the
leadership team is the beginning of a great Club year.
So here we are to vote for the leaders who will be leading us, through
the next term.
Let me now brief the voting procedure:

• Procedure will be repeated for each officer – candidates not elected


may be nominated in the next office positions
nominations from floor will be called three times
• If nominations made:required nominations will be Added to the
ballot
• ballot will be then closed
• If unopposed, Voice vote will be called for – in favor (yes), opposed
(no) o Or the Secretary may cast a single vote in favor
• If opposed, offer 2 minutes to each candidate to present a campaign
speech
• candidates will be announced on ballot including floor nominations
• Members can vote by responding on teams
• Sergeant-at-Arms will count the no.of votes with the nominating
committee
• Results announced then.
• Order for the candidates goes as follows
o President
o Vice President Education (VPE) o
Vice President Membership (VPM)
o Vice President Public Relations (VPPR)
o Secretary
o Treasurer
o Sergeant-at-Arms (SAA)

For the office of President, the nominating committee has nominated
