Dear Readers,
We are thrilled to share our journey as graduates of the Humanities and Social Science
Strand at Trece Martires City Senior High School. Our school has prepared us for college
by focusing on the skills and knowledge relevant to our chosen paths in the 21st century.
During our work immersion, we spent eighty hours at Trece Martires City Conchu
Elementary School, learning about their operations and actively participating in various
activities. We took on responsibilities, assisted our trainer, and prepared reports,
following the institution’s rules diligently.
These experiences were invaluable. We are grateful for the warm welcome and guidance
from the staff and students at Trece Martires City Conchu Elementary School. Their
support has not only enhanced our understanding of our field but also taught us the
importance of hands-on learning.
As we move forward, we will carry these lessons with us, grateful for the opportunity to
learn and grow outside the classroom.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT
First and foremost, praises and thanks to the God, the Almighty, for his showers of
blessings throughout my Work Immersion days.
I am extremely grateful for my family, for their prayers, guidance, support, especially to
my parents for their sacrifices for educating and preparing me for my future.
De Jesus, Arabella C.
I've been thinking about what I want to achieve as a student who wants a bright future.
As a senior high school student, it has always been in my mind to make studying a habit
rather than a priority, because I have understood that education provides you with more
than just knowledge. it also provides you with an understanding that there are many
different ways to achieve in life. Studying is giving me a really hard time, but what can I
do if this is the only thing I think can help me? It teaches you the ways to reach your goal
in life.
So for me, I will never quit or think of giving up because I am the third sibling in the
family, which makes me think that I should be the one who is leading my sibling. My
ambition is to find a good job, my plan is to lead my sibling, and my dream is to grant my
family.
wishes I wish to grant them right now. I'm looking forward to the end of the school year
because completing each achievement brings me one step closer to my goals.
As a future teacher, I aim for my students to learn and be happy, knowing that gaining
their trust and focus won't be easy. I'll try unique efforts to guide them better on the path
they'll take.
As a students teacher this work immersion is to gain much knowledge and experience
in the field of chosen profession. This group want to understand the nuances of chosen
craft and be able to apply skills accordingly. Also plan to make the most of this
opportunity by immersing in the work environment and learning from the experts.
Furthermore, this group use this time to build relationships with teachers and mentors.
Understand that the professional world is all about networking and building a good
performance. Also be friendly and courteous to everyone meet other person and strive to
create a good impression.
Overall, this group want to make the most of this work immersion and equip individual
skills and knowledge that need to be successful in chosen field.
For grade 12 students, work immersion holds particular relevance as they stand at the
threshold of higher education or entry into the workforce. It provides them with an
opportunity to explore diverse career paths, refine their interests, and make informed
decisions about their future academic and professional pursuits. Furthermore, work
immersion fosters personal growth by challenging students to adapt to new environments,
collaborate effectively with others, and navigate real-world challenges, ultimately
preparing them for success in their chosen field.
Conchu Elementary School was established in the year 1996 with two buildings occupied
by Grade I and Day Care. It started with only one grade consisting 24 grade I pupils and
one teacher in the name of Mrs. Ailyne V. Derutas. Another teacher came to handle the
incoming grade II. Every year, one grade level was added to the school until it was called
Conchu Primary School. Year 1997 when it became a satellite of Aliang Elementary
School headed by Mrs. Lina I. Reodique, Teacher-In-Charge and the District Supervisor
was Dr. Leonora J. Dipon.
The success of the school was through the help of barangay officials headed by
Perseverando Aure, the barangay captain. During that time, the people in the vicinity
most especially the parents showed their full support to the school.
The time when the school reached its complete Elementary grades, a teacher-in-charge
was formally assigned at Conchu Elementary School on August 14, 2002 in the person of
Mrs. Amelita M. Decena. At the succeeding years, more teachers came to handle pupils
in the higher grade level. Year 2004, it was observed that there is a rapid growth in the
enrolment that reached 377 pupils. There were seven teachers, 5 nationally funded and 2
was funded by the Local School Board.
November 2006 when Mrs. Lolita C. Romen headed the school as Teacher-In-Charge at
first but several months passed, she was promoted as Head Teacher III of the school.
The school has 12 teachers, 8 nationally funded and 4 locally funded headed by Mrs.
Diana G. Liveta who is formally assigned and designated as Head Teacher III of the
school on June 2, 2008.
During the time of Mrs. Dinia E. Feranil as the Head Teacher III on December 1, 2009,
there were 12 teachers, 10 nationally funded and 2 locally funded. There were 570 pupils
which marks an increased due to transferees from the private schools.
Mrs. Amanda C. Erni, who was designated as Head Teacher III on June 06, 2011, the
enrolment has a rapid increase with a total of 603 pupils. There are 10 nationally funded
teachers and 4 locally funded. There are 11 academic classrooms including the one
donated by the barangay.
At present, Dr.Donah Jean S. Sales a newly designated Principal I, took her office last
August 15, 2014.
The school has 20 teachers, 19 are nationally funded and 1 locally funded with 823
pupils.
Improvements of the school are still going on through the help of barangay officials
headed by Mr. Anselmo L. Trinidad, Barangay Captain with the full support of PTCA
officers and stakeholders..

Day 1 Journal 1
This is my first day of immersion. First, I went to school and waited for my friends, but
they were already waiting for me at the entrance of Conchu. Then, we were endorsed to
the place that we were assigned. When we got there, we were still waiting for our adviser,
which is Ma’am Thinay. However, Ma’am Chat, my friend, said we should just go to the
principal. But the principal was not there. After that, a teacher came and toured us to
different parts of the school, showing evaluation sheets on Ma’am Carla. Then, Ma’am
Carla assigned me to Ma’am Lena, who was very kind. After that, I went inside the room
and watched over the students. During lunchtime, my friends and I went to a convenience
store to buy food. We had already eaten by 12:35. We then went back to school. When I
got there, Ma’am Lena instructed me to write on the blackboard. While I was writing, I
took a picture of one of my students for our documentary.

Day 1 Journal 1
This is my first day here at Conchu Elementary School and what I feel now is nervous
and happy because I can see the supervisor and the children that will be part of my ten
days immersion journey. Today, I did observation first and I got to know them a little
knowledge about me and I hope that this work immersion journey I can finish it without
any problems leaving this school. After the observation, I immediately help to read the
children’s that on process reading. I was happy with them because I used to be the one

Day 2 Journal 2
On the 2nd day of my immersion this morning, I was so disappointed because I was late.
However, I apologized to Ma’am Lena and she said it’s okay and not to repeat it next
time. After that, I went inside the room and gave an answer sheet to my student. When I
was done, I gave them a questionnaire and watched them until they finished answering.
After that, I collected what I had given earlier. During lunchtime, my classmates and I
took a picture for documentation. After finishing eating, we immediately returned. When
I got there, I read through them one by one and found out who had trouble reading. I
asked them what course they would take in college. Many answered ‘police’ while others
were unsure about their college major. It was already 2:00, and I was done. Here I
checked the completed activities. I was happy because almost all of them did what
Ma’am Lena had instructed. It’s already 3:06; it's time to go home. But before leaving,
we took another picture.
Day 2 Journal 2
Another teacher arrived and borrowed me to watch over the grade 6 Gen. Luna class.
There were two of us assigned to watch over them, and I was told not to smile too much
as we might face challenges. I was specifically keeping an eye on one child, trying to get
them to behave, but for some reason, I couldn’t speak up much because my voice was too
soft. We were given something to work on with the students in math, a lecture with
questions to answer. Before they finished, Ma’am Lorie arrived for their 15-minute NAT
(National Achievement Test) session. After that, they had recess, and those who finished
recess continued with the math lecture and answering.
Next, Ma’am Lena came for a lecture in MAPEH (Music, Arts, Physical Education, and
Health), but it didn’t finish because it was lunchtime. We were cautious during lunch, and
I was left with the naughty ones for a while. I scolded them and then went back to their
seats, but they weren’t listening because my voice was too soft. I ended up shouting,
which was still soft for me, but when I counted to one and they returned to their seats,
their adviser arrived. While watching over them, I also checked the quizzes of the Grade
4 Lapidario class.
We were also on duty during lunch break and had to make sure everyone was quiet
during the NAT session at each table. There was a leader assigned to list those who were
standing or being noisy, and we needed to report them to Ma'am Leonor. When the time
was up and it was time to go home, they became a bit rowdy, so we had to scold them for
Day 2 Journal 2
Today is my first day teaching as practice teacher what I said yesterday, I am excited to
teach because I want to improve my skills, especially public speaking, because being a
teacher is not easy. I am happy while teaching because I remember those who I passed
while I was in elementary school and now I am a practice teacher, my heart is happy
while teaching to children’s. I sing and dance the “Banana Dance” before and now I want
to make a experience the children dance to Grade 3 Inocencio and I am the leader serving
them. Even though it’s tiring to scold the children, it’s so much happy when I see them
enjoy and smiling, all my tiredness this day was erased because of the children’s smiles.

Day 3 Journal 3
This is my third day of immersion. I logged in to the guard exactly at 7:00. I came to
school and while logging in, I greeted every teacher I met, wishing them a good morning.
Day 3 Journal 3
Today, I arrived early again. When I got there, the teacher who handles my class wasn’t
there yet, so I sat in the guidance office and waited. When the teacher arrived, I followed
her, standing by the door, waiting for instructions. The teacher called Nicole, Gadiane,
Oril, Magpuri, Khim, and kyohan, and asked me to teach them how to read. Three of the
students were already good at reading Tagalog, so I taught them English instead, while
the other three needed to learn to read Tagalog quickly. I found it a bit challenging to
teach them all at once until Eya arrived to teach her students counting, the alphabet, and
parts of the body. My students were distracted by her teaching, so they lost focus on me,
which made me quiet. They noticed, so they looked at me. I ignored them and focused on
teaching. We returned to their classroom for recess. We went back to the guidance office
to continue reading, and the teacher added another student who struggled with reading
English. That student was a bit mischievous when not focused, but he eventually
cooperated once he got used to it. However, they got distracted again and didn’t pay
attention to me while I was teaching. So, I stayed quiet, waiting for them to realize they
had a teacher. I ignored them and just taught. Eventually, the three girls and one boy were
doing better, so it became easier since there were fewer struggling students. I focused

this section are so sweet to me, I receive kiss and hug and this is one of the memories that
I will miss when I finish the my work immersion journey in this school. Also It’s my
second day of teaching, even though I’m not very good at arts, I can handle it because it’s
part of teaching. Time check 1:15 pm
Reading hours I’m so happy because helping in their program called “Catch Up Reading
Program” my heart is full of happiness because in my three days here at Conchu
Elementary there are many experiences are super memorable for me. Thank you Grade 3
Montano for the effort to write a letter appreciated so much. Teacher Eya loves you
Grade 3 Inocencio and Grade 3 Montano thank you for the efforts.
De Jesus, Arabella C.
This is my 4th day of immersion. First, I woke up early and prepared myself to go to
school early. I exactly arrived at school at 6:30. I was embarrassed because I arrived late
yesterday. While walking to my room, I met a student who asked me if I had something
to do, and I said it depends on Ma’am Lena. Then, when I entered the room, I greeted
them saying ‘good morning,’ they replied, and I asked them if they wanted to introduce
themselves. They said yes, and I learned where they were staying and how long they had
been there. By the time I finished, it was already 9:00 AM break. During the break while
eating, Ma’am Lena and I discussed what I would do next. Suddenly, a teacher
approached and Ma’am Lena asked about a vacancy for immersion and who would
supervise grade 5. I informed the teacher that it was just me, Ma’am. I was free at that
time, so after finishing eating, I followed the teacher who had come to us.
Day 4 Journal 4
Today is my fourth day, and I arrived early for work. Originally, I was supposed to assist
Ms. Lora, but since only a few of her students showed up and they thought she wouldn’t
come, they were sent home. So, I ended up assisting Ms. Jo instead. She wasn’t prepared
for what she needed me to do, so she assigned me some recording tasks and also had me
help two of her students with their reading. I had to focus on assisting the students in
reading because if I left them to do the recordings alone, they would just play around.
While I was helping them read, I paused my recording of quizzes for the fourth graders
and performance tasks. Whenever I needed to do recordings, I had the students read on
the other page. And when it was in English, I made them write down words they couldn’t

Day 4 Journal 4
This is probably my busiest day this week because from making a PowerPoint that will
be immediately taught to the Grade 3 Inocencio children’s are already challenging for me
until giving them a task and checking the tasks they have done. I know that this is not the
most challenging as a practice teacher, but I can handle it and fight for success. Because
all the efforts and hardships have an equal amount of joy in the end, there is no turning
De Jesus, Arabella C.
Day 5 Journal 5
The 5th day of my immersion here I woke up early so I wouldn’t be late because the last
time I was late was very embarrassing for the teachers I’m exactly 6:24 I was at school,
while I was waiting for what I was going to do I talked to one of my students about what
they were doing Friday and she said catch up Friday and I let her into the room, I went to
my ma’am Lena and asked what I should do and ma’am said that there is nothing to do
with the children, they will only do catch up Friday, while ma'am was printing, I was
watching the students while ma’am wasn’t done with what she was doing, and ma’am
had already finished printing and she gave it to the students and I told them that they have
to finish for 30 min and they read it aloud, after a few they were done and they passed it
to ma’am after that, when we proceed with our new work and continue to talk about the
lecture they didn’t finish yesterday while I was watching them, I recognized them one by
one and someone came up to my one child and asked me when I would finish the
immersion and I said maybe I will leave here next week. And they finished what I asked
them to do and they handed it to me at exactly 12:27 lunch time here. My friends and I
ate together outside the school and After we finished eating, we went back immediately
and when I got there, I first studied and read the quiz they were going to answer that they
Day 5 Journal 5
Today is my fifth day with Ma’am Jo again. I read to Oril and praised him. While
reading, Ma’am Jo asked the two of us to watch over Grade 4 Felipe because their
adviser would be absent. There were many sweet kids who listened well, but they also
had their mischievous moments.
There were tasks left for them, and since I brought the reading material, I had them read
some passages. I kept a close eye on them, making sure they all participated and didn’t
wander off. I sat near the door to prevent them from leaving. By 11:00 am, some parents
came to pick them up as it was a half-day session. Ma’am Jo said they could leave when
their ride arrived. Some kids mentioned they would only take public transportation, so I
told them they could leave by 11:30.
Shortly after, their adviser arrived, so I was called back. Since the reading material was
still in use, I didn’t take it with me. I returned to Ma’am Jo, taught for a bit, and gave
them an activity. I was a bit nervous, trembling, and my voice was weak, but I managed
to finish. I divided them into four groups, and they seemed a bit confused. After
explaining the task, I let them discuss, but time ran out, and only one group could present.
Afterward, I had them clean up, and it was time 3:00pm to go home.
Day 5 Journal 5
This is the last day for my 1 st week work immersion journey and this is also the fist time
that I will be teaching in the Catch Up Friday groupings 15 minutes practice I gave a task
to them and they immediately performed it to the front. I am happy because they did well
and they listened good to me. After finished CUF, I proceed to review for their NAT
exam, I was very happy because they participated with me even though they know I was
just a practice teacher. Because of the behavior today I promised them that they will
receive a prize from me and they deserve to receive it even though I can only afford to
buy candy because there are so many of them, I just want to share the blessings that I
receive from my small business. I am happy that they appreciate the efforts that I make
for them.

Day 6 Journal 6
6th day of my immersion I'm very busy here because I finished the work I didn't finish
yesterday, I started by checking the note books and when you're done it's their quizzes,
almost all I did in the afternoon was check and watch over the students and after all of
that we decided to go home.
Day 6 Journal 6
On Day 6, March 18th, Ma’am asked me to review the students while she kept an eye on
them. Before starting the review, she advised them that always behave and respect all
teacher because teachers have a lot of patience, but it’s hard to handle many students.
After that, she reviewed them again while I observed. While they were reviewing and
watching the examples on the tv, Ma’am approached me and handed me deworming
medicine and a paper listing the doses for each student. My task for the day was to
distribute the deworming tablets to each room and have the students sign for them. I
finished distributing the morning doses but still had some for the afternoon, so I wasn’t
done yet. Ma’am moved on to review the students in another room, and I observed until
the afternoon session started. Eventually, Ma’am asked me to fetch test papers from the
office. I went and got them with the help of a kind teacher. After counting and separating
them by subject, I went to the adjacent section to take pictures for the deworming
program, then did the same for the other section. After lunch, I resumed distributing the
deworming medicine until I finished, then returned to Ma’am until it was time to go
home.
Day 6 Journal 6
Today I helped Ma’am Sally checking the activities of Grade 3 Inocencio and also I
recorded their tasks while they did the long test. Grade 3 Inocencio is very quiet because
they have a prize to me if they are quiet while answering. When they finished answering,
I immediately made them to line up in the back before going home, their smiles were

Day 7 Journal 7
On 7th of my immersion I’m exactly arrive in the school at 6:20 When I was there, I first
checked some notebooks that I didn’t finish yesterday. When I finished, I was
immediately given a task that I would have the students do. I gave it to the students
earlier and explained to them that I was going to do it. They were done, and I quickly ate
because I had something to do. When I was short on time, it was lunchtime, and I was
done with everything I was doing. We ate lunch together, and while we ate, we talked
about our student council. When we finished eating, we went back to the classroom. At
3:00, it was time to go home, but we didn’t leave because we were still taking pictures
before going home for the video presentation.
Day 7 Journal 7
Day 7 Journal 7
Today is my day 7 ,we were supposed to do Zumba. While waiting for the Zumba to
start, we watched over the kids for their science review. Ma’am asked me to supervise
them. While Ma’am was setting up for Zumba, I also sold some items and made sure no
one left. While guarding the door, Ma’am Mich arrived and said that the kids would line
up at 10:15 am. Ma’am Lora was talking to Ma’am Jo. When the students of Ma’am Jo
went downstairs, we followed them as instructed by Ma’am Lora to organize the line
outside. When we reached downstairs, I made them do arms forward while waiting, then
we lined up for prayer and the national anthem. After that, the dance instructors
introduced themselves, and we cooperated with the dance routine. After dancing, we
enjoyed Zumba. I realized that work should also be enjoyable sometimes. We danced in
front, and it was so much fun, especially with the energetic Grade 4 students. The
instructors were also enthusiastic, so we had a lot of dances to perform. Even the
instructors looked exhausted, but everyone enjoyed, and Ma’am Lora and I couldn’t stop
laughing, especially when one almost fell off the stage while teaching the dance steps.
After cooling down, snacks were distributed to the dancers. Ma’am Lora gave me the
keys, and I opened our room, letting the kids in and not allowing anyone out until Ma’am
Lora arrived. She said we’re moving to Ma’am Mich’s room, so we went downstairs, and
I was told to follow whenever a teacher came for the kids. When their teacher arrived, I
went downstairs. Ma’am asked us to submit the test papers to the office, and we counted
them, 46 pieces per subject. We finished this by 11:20 pm and went up with the subject’s
test papers because it was lunch break. We had lunch with my colleagues who were on
work immersion, discussing what they did. I finished eating by 12:26 pm and waited for
them to return so we could go back together. We parted ways and returned to our
assigned rooms. Afterward, we met up because we all logged out together from the log
book.

Day 8 Journal 8
On the 8th day of my immersion here, I didn’t do much because I just watched the my
students take the test. While they answered, I reviewed their answers. After finishing
watching them, I checked what they did yesterday, I ate for a while, and went back to
watching them until they finished their tasks. At 3:06, my partner and I went home.
Day 8 Journal 8
Today is my eighth day. At 7:10 am, I already got rated and went straight to Ma’am
Lora’s room. By 7:25 am, she assigned me a task which was checking the deworming
status. Initially, I was confused, but after Ma’am Lora explained further and gave
examples, I understood and quickly completed the task by around 8:13 am. However,
there were still some missing details, so I couldn’t write everything yet. At 8:30 am, I
went room by room to collect the deworming status from each teacher and also asked for
the age of those without it. I handed the deworming status with the ages to various
teachers: Ma’am Catherine for Grade 3 Lallana, Ma’am Grace for Kinder Alonzo, Ma’am
Michelle for Grade 4 De Ocampo, Sir Charlito for Grade 5, and Ma’am Elena for Grade
During lunchtime, I returned to Ma’am’s room to set aside the papers I was working on.
At 1:00 pm, I planned to collect the hard copies from those who hadn’t submitted yet and
complete missing ages to ensure everything is accurate. After lunch, I took a short break
and returned upstairs around 12:40 pm, waiting for 1:00 pm to resume our tasks. At 1:00
pm, Ma’am went to the next room for her lesson, while I continued recording in the
guidance office. By 2:40 pm, I went back to Ma’am’s room to finish up, as the kids were
already cleaning up to go home.
Manliguez, Andrea
Day 8 Journal 8
Today I’m going to encode their grades, it’s not just easy the job of the teachers when
encoding the grades, now I realize that it is biggest hard part of the teachers will make a
way for the pupils to pass. I feel sad right now for Grade 3 Inocencio because their have a
repeater pupils 3 from 61 pupils maybe this time it’s really hard for them to study
because they study too early. After I finished encoding, I discuss them how to solve
addition and divide because that’s where they will have hard lesson when it comes to
Math subject. That’s why I help them to get easy way solving the problem. When I teach
them strategies is to dance the “Math Dance Challenge” I can see on their faces that they
are so happy to learn Math and that they teach quickly. Time check 12:01 pm afternoon

Day 9 Journal 9
On the 9th day of my immersion, when I arrived in the room, I had the children line up
outside because I was going to seat them alphabetically for a NAT review. I let them in
one by one for each other arrangement as. After finishing there, he told me to go, Ma’am,
to the other section to supervise them until lunchtime. My friends and I ate together.
After finishing eating, I immediately went back to the room to teach my students.
Day 9 Journal 9
At 6:59 am, I arrived at the Conchu elementary school and logged in to the school’s
logbook. Exactly at 7:00 am, I went up to Ma’am Lora’s room. I sat down for a moment
because she hadn’t given me any tasks yet, and Ma’am said the office wouldn’t open
until 8:00 am because her laptop was still there. We’ll also input what I wrote on a bond
paper yesterday. We went downstairs because it was time for the next subject, and
At 8:15 am, I swept the area in front of the guidance office while waiting to total
Ma’am’s deworming report. At 9:18 am, I went up to Ma’am to inform her that I would
go to those who told me they would give something tomorrow. I went to the canteen to
see Ma’am Jackie, who immediately gave it to me. Ma’am Elaine had already given hers,
so only two were left to complete. I returned to the guidance office at 9:24 am. After
getting them, I added them to the counting’s. Once finished, I went back to Ma’am Lora
upstairs because the students were already on recess. I sat down and helped sell snacks in
their room because they would return the unsold items to the canteen shortly.
After recess, Ma’am showed me where to input the numbers I wrote down. She also
handed me the laptop to go back to the guidance office and work on it while she went to
teach Grade 4 Felipe. I’m here in the guidance office inputting the records and letting
Excel automatically calculate the totals. When it was lunchtime, my sibling brought me
food. After finishing lunch around 12:30 pm, I continued with my work. My colleagues
and I took a break and rested for a while. By 12:30 pm, I resumed inputting, and I
finished quickly before 2:30 pm. I double-checked everything until Ma’am Lora’s
students arrived upstairs, ready to go home. I informed Ma’am that I wouldn’t be coming
tomorrow because of a pictorial for graduation, and she allowed me. I also informed her
that I would come in the afternoon, and she said my last task would be the nutritional
status data. I bid farewell and went home.

The last day of my immersion has arrived because our immersion is about to end, but I
am sad because I will miss the students I teach. During the 10 days of my immersion
here, I didn’t do much because the student I teach doesn’t have school, so I have to wait
alone until I go home.
Today was a half day for me. I arrived for immersion in the afternoon because from 8:30
am to 12:30 pm, we were at school for our graduation pictorial schedule. When I arrived
at Conchu Elementary at 12:49 pm, I immediately logged in to the logbook. Upon arrival,
I went up to the room and saw that the children were still being watched because it
wasn’t time yet. Ma’am Lora’s husband was also there because he always brings her
lunch and picks her up in the morning and afternoon. I stood by the door to catch some
breeze from the electric fan nearby. When Ma’am Lora’s husband stood up because it
was time, I approached. I sat down, and Ma’am handed me the laptop because I needed to
record the numbers for the nutritional status of each section from kindergarten to grade 6.
Since it was time and Ma’am would be teaching downstairs, I would do it in her room.
Ma’am Mich would just lecture the kids, so it was fine for me to be there. Ma’am quickly
returned because their dismissal time was at 2:30 pm. When Ma’am Lora arrived, I was
already working on grade 4. I finished quickly because I was already familiar with
Ma’am Lora’s laptop. I told her I would come back the next day. We checked my work,
but some sections didn’t auto-average. So, I made a new template and copied and pasted
my previous work onto the new one. Ma’am Lora and I fixed it, but there was one section
that didn’t reach 100%. She said I could fix it tomorrow because it was time to leave.
Usually, because of the intense heat, I leave around 4:00 pm. I said goodbye to Ma’am
and blessed her and her husband as well. To complete my 8 hours for my day 10 on April
4 At 7:00 AM, I arrived at Conchu Elementary, logged in, and went to Grade 4 Luciano's
room. Ma'am gave me her laptop to fix the grade records for nutritional status. I finished
it by 8:29 AM and double-checked everything for errors. Afterward, I returned to Ma'am
and she observed each room she needed to visit: Grade 4 De Ocampo, Grade 4 Felipe,
and Grade 4 Lapidario. When Ma'am needed to go to the office, I lectured them on the
important matters on TV.
Day 10 Journal 10
This is the last day of my work immersion journey. Now I feel sad because I know that it
will be difficult for me to say goodbye to the children, especially since they don’t know
that I’m leaving today at Conchu Elementary School. I went to school early today so that
I can be ready. When I said goodbye to them today. It’s their last subject now, that’s why
I feel nervous because I need to say goodbye grade 3 Inocencio Ma’am Sally talked to
me and she told me congratulations that you’ve finished your OJT, she’ll miss you we’ll
see you around. I don’t know if I need to cry with joy or I need to cry with sadness, I
don’t know what my emotions are right now because happiness and sadness are mixed in
my heart, I said goodbye to Grade 3 Inocencio and everyone who was shocked I
explained good enough for them to understand me and I’m thankful because they
understood me. Time check 1:24 pm I was late for my afternoon schedule because I went
through my requirements before leaving later while one by one if I approached the
children in Grade 3 Montano they all smiled at me. Time check again 3:10 pm I need to
say goodbye to them because I need to take other requirements of my work immersion.
Ma’am Rebecca call me to the front so I can say goodbye properly to Grade 3 Montano I
am crying because I will miss these children’s because they are so cheerful and sweet
they told me but I couldn’t do anything because it was my last day in OJT when I said
goodbye Ma’am Rebecca just explained to them because Ma’am noticed that I was cry
that’s why I need to out of their room, Ma’am Rebecca said we take a picture first for
The tasks assigned to us start at 7:00 in the morning and end at 3:00 in the afternoon.
All tasks are given to us when assistance is needed in guiding the students.
We log in and out at the guard's station on the daily time record every time we arrive and leave. During
lunchtime, we meet in front of the guidance office, and at 12:40, we start preparing to return to our duties,
and if we finish our tasks, we simply observe. The children's class hours are also divided into two batches,
with the first batch attending from 7:00 in the morning until 11:00 in the morning, and the second batch
from 11:00 in the morning until 5:00 in the afternoon. This is important so that students are not crowded in
the classroom, and we are only available until 3:00 in the afternoon because school hours are from 7:00 in
the morning until 2:30 in the afternoon, and we stay until 3:00 due to cleaning. We are assigned to different
group areas to gain experience in various tasks assigned to us.
Our test here is whether we can handle the children well and maintain a long patience, which is the most
important thing to hold onto.
