Machine Preparation
1. Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location.

2. Place the steering control lever in the NEUTRAL position.

3. Engage the parking brake.

4. Lower the attachments to the ground.

5. Stop the engine.

6. Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.

7. Verify that the implement lockout switch is in the UNLOCKED position.

8. Move the control levers through the full range of travel several times. This will relieve any
pressure that may be present in the implement hydraulic system.

9. Make sure that the pressure in the entire hydraulic system has been released.

10. Remove the floorplate from the machine.

Electrohydraulic Valve
(HPS) Pressure tap
(1) Adjustment screw (pilot system)
(2) Adjustment screw (pressure reducing valve)

11. Connect tooling (A2) or (B) to pressure tap (HPS).

12. Install the floorplate. Make sure that the floorplate does not interfere with the hoses for the test
gauge.

Pilot System (Testing)

1. Start the engine.

2. Run the engine at HIGH IDLE.

3. Warm the hydraulic oil to the operating temperature.

4. The pressure should read 3930 ± 170 kPa (570 ± 25 psi) at pressure tap (HPS).

Pilot System (Adjusting)

1. Stop the engine.

2. Turn adjustment screw (1) clockwise in order to raise maximum pressure.

3. Turn adjustment screw (1) counterclockwise in order to lower maximum pressure.

Resolver Network (Testing)

1. Refer to Step 1 through Step 12 in "Machine Preparation".

2. Connect tooling (A1) or (B) instead of tooling (A2).

3. Run the engine at HIGH IDLE.

4. Warm the hydraulic oil to the operating temperature.

5. Move the blade and the ripper to full RAISE position.

6. Stop the engine and monitor the pressure at pressure tap (HPS). Turn the key to the ON
position in order to activate the electronic controls.

7. Move the bulldozer control lever from NEUTRAL position to RAISE position and hold for three
seconds. This will drain the pilot pressure in the accumulator.

8. Release the bulldozer control lever into NEUTRAL position.

9. The pressure at pressure tap (HPS) should be 2070 ± 150 kPa (300 ± 20 psi).

Resolver Network (Adjusting)

1. Stop the engine.

2. Turn adjustment screw (2) clockwise in order to raise maximum pressure.

3. Turn adjustment screw (2) counterclockwise in order to lower maximum pressure.

4. Remove the test equipment from pressure tap (HPS).

5. Install the floorplate.
