Roman Numerals

Rule 3: If a smaller symbol comes after a larger one, the value of the
numeral is the addition of the values of the symbols.
Let's study the examples and learn about it.
VI=5 +1=6, XIIl =10 +1+1+1=13, XXV = 20 + 5=25

XXXVI = 30 + 6=36 LVIII = 50 +8= 58, and so on.

Now, let's learn to convert Hindu-Arabic numerals into Roman numerals.

19=10+9= XIX, 28 = 20 +8 = XXVII, 39 = 30 +9 = XXXIX
42 =40+2 =XLII, 49 = 40 +9 = XLIX, 55 = 50 + 5= LV
