complete the works that shown or specifically does not shown on the drawing but
essentially necessary / required to complete the works.
The specific scope of works of the following working area shall include but not be limited to:
a) Contractor shall conduct engineering work to design access steel platform for water
tank Unit, and to design connections package unit Tag. 32-TK-XXX including standard
stairs, and handrails around the tanks.
b) All of structural steel and concrete analysis development shall be formally submitted
to PTAMNT /PD for review and if any changes shall be accompanied by drawings,
calculations, and study report addressing the reasons, justification, and cost impact
to the project.
c) All such approved changes shall be included in the detailed design report
accompanying the drawings.
d) All the drawings shall use Micro Station V8 in DGN format or AUTOCAD in DXF format.
f) Contractor shall provide AS BUILT drawings in hard copy and soft file AutoCAD
Format, and submit it to AMNT project Manager prior to commissioning phase.
g) Contractor shall supply, deliver, and install platforms as per design drawings and
according to PT. AMNT Specifications.
h) Contractor shall supply all structural steel for columns, beams, bracings, steel plates,
gussets plate, stiffeners, girts and other miscellaneous steel materials required to
complete the works that are shown or specifically not shown on the drawings, but
essentially necessary / required to complete the works.
i) Contractor shall prepare material take-off for purchasing of all steel required for this
project, including girts and accessories.
j) Contractor shall supply all miscellaneous steel including cast steel into concrete.
k) Contractor to supply suitable field bolts based on the contractor field bolt list plus 5%
extra. All structural plate materials shall conform to ASTM A36 or approved
equivalent.
l) All High strength bolts shall conform to ASTM A325, Type I, or approved equivalent
and shall be mechanically galvanized, unless noted otherwise. The assembly shall be
complete with nuts, and hardened washers, and Direct Tension Indicators (DTI), if Slip

Critical (SC) is noted on the design drawings and shall be mechanically galvanized.
Heavy hex nuts ASTM A563, grade DH, mechanically galvanized.
m) Contractor / Supplier shall obtain written approval from owner for any substitutions
in material type and sizes.
n) Material or work that does not meet the requirements of the drawings and
specifications shall be repaired or removed and replaced, as directed by Owner, solely
at the Supplier's expense
o) Fasteners, fastener list, and test certificates shall be shipped with the first shipment
of fabricated steel for each release. The Supplier's test certificates, and each lot
number shall be indicated clearly on each container shipped, so inspectors can check
lot numbers against test certificates received at the jobsite.
p) Contractor shall supply fabrication drawings and erection / marking drawings for all
structural steel for this project in accordance to the design drawings, standard
drawings and specifications.
q) Contractor shall be fully responsible for the accuracy, quantity, member numbers &
sizes, orientation / location, adequacy of connections and the accuracy of fabrication
and erection fit up. Provide shop drawings for every member showing welds, number
of bolts, nuts, washers, and connecting materials.
v) All High strength bolts shall conform to ASTM A325, Type I, or approved equal and
shall be mechanically galvanized, unless noted otherwise. Contractor / Supplier shall
obtain written approval from owner for any substitutions in material type and sizes
a) Contractor shall erect all structural steel materials for shell and roof of tank and
utilities pipe support and any other miscellaneous steel materials required to
complete the works as shown on the drawings, including any additional material
required but not shown on the drawings, obviously required and necessary to
complete the works.

b) The erection of structural and miscellaneous steel shall be in accordance with the
engineering drawings, approved erection drawings, and specification. When there is
any conflict with drawing and specifications refer to owner field engineer for
clarification.
c) Contractor shall supply suitable crane and manlift equipment to support erection of
structural steel and any other non-structural items for this project. All equipment to
comply with safety and PT AMNT standards/certification procedures.
d) Contractor is responsible for the stability of the structure during its erection. Design
and installation of additional temporary bracing or guying is required to meet loading
imposed during erection, consistent with the erection sequence used, or required at
the end of any work period to ensure safe and stable conditions. Temporary shores
and braces shall be maintained until permanent stabilizing elements are completely
installed and it is safe to remove such temporary shores and braces.
e) Field correction of fabrication by gas cutting is not permitted without prior written
authorization of PT. AMNT Field Engineer. With prior approval from Owner Field
engineer, make enlargements of holes necessary to make connections resulting from
misfit by reaming or drilling with no cost implication to owner. Do not enlarge holes
by flame cutting, burning, or by use of drift pins.
f) Handle materials in a manner that will not cause overstress, warp, twist, or other
damage. Take precautions to prevent damage to protective coatings on surfaces of
materials. Store materials at the site and protect from damage, deterioration, and
contamination from soil / mud and water. Damage to protective coatings on surfaces
of materials to be rectified by contractor at completion of erection at contractor cost.
g) General touch-up painting. After erection, touch-up shop coatings of structural steel
damaged during transportation, erection, field-welds, nut and bolts and anchor bolts
to be done in accordance with the project painting specifications and manufacturer’s
recommendations. Crane rail shall be left unpainted.
i) Contractor QA/QC inspectors shall inspect all bolted connections and record it for
turnover package document. Bolted connections shall be installed, inspected and
tested in accordance with the recommendations of AISC Specification for Structural
Joints using ASTM A325 and project specifications.
