General Instructions for the Candidates


• You are advised to print this call letter and bring to the written test venue. The call letter with your
photograph and signature (uploaded) will be collected and retained by us for our records. In addition,
candidates should also affix latest passport size colour photograph at the space provided on the call letter.

• You should bring at least one photo identity proof in ORIGINAL with clear photograph (i.e. AADHAAR
Card, Driving License, University/College ID, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, etc.)
• Prohibited items such as Watches, Books, Paper Chits, Magazines, Electronics gadgets (Mobile Phones,
Bluetooth devices, Head Phones, Pen/Buttonhole cameras, Scanner, Smart Watches, Calculator etc) are
STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED in the examination venue. If any such item is found in the possession of a
candidate during the examination, his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled and legal/criminal
proceedings could be initiated against him/her.
• Candidates are advised not to bring the prohibited items mentioned above to the examination venue. In
case they bring any such item, they would have to make their own arrangements for safe custody of such
items. ISRO shall not make any arrangements nor be responsible for the safe custody of any such item.
• In case PwBD candidates need scribe facility, they are required to bring their own scribe along with his/her
Photograph and Photocopy & original ID Proof at the Venue Control room at least one hour before
examination for record and verification. The qualification of the scribe shall be one step below the
essential qualification notified for the post. The PwBD candidate shall produce the certificate in the
prescribed format (Annexure- I & II) available in ISRO website (against the advertisement) issued by Chief
Medical Officer/Civil Surgeon/Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution with
necessary information/undertaking and produce the same at the time of written test.
• Candidates will be allowed entry to the examination hall only after thorough frisking by the security
personnel. Biometrics of all candidates will be captured at the venue so as to verify their identity at later
stages of the selection process. Accordingly, all candidates are advised to reach the examination venue
well before commencement of the examination, so as to avoid any delay in undergoing the above security
formalities.
• You are advised to bring only blue/black ball point pen, to the examination hall for marking your answer on
OMR answer sheet. All the entries in the OMR answer sheet shall be done with blue/black ball point pen
only. Answers once marked cannot be corrected.
• Read carefully the instructions in the question paper/OMR answer sheet before answering.
• The written test will be for duration of 120 minutes. The question paper will be in bilingual format. The
questions will be of objective type with four answers indicated, of which only one will be unambiguously
correct. Candidates have to select the right answer by bubbling (marking) the corresponding oval on the
OMR answer sheet by black or blue ball point pen only, as per the instructions on the OMR sheet. OMR
sheets contains Sl.Nos. 1 to 100, candidates are advised to mark Sl.Nos. 1 to 95 only.
• All objective type questions in Part ‘A’ carry equal marks of ONE for a correct answer, ZERO for no answer and - 0.33 (negative
marking) for a wrong answer. Part ‘B’ contains 15 objective type questions with each question carrying different marks, totaling to 20

marks. There is no negative marking for Part ‘B’.

• After the examination, the candidate should handover the original OMR and call letter to the invigilator.In
case any candidate does not handover the original OMR sheet to the invigilator, his/her candidature will be
cancelled.
• Candidates are allowed to take the carbon copy of the OMR answer sheet and their question booklet after
the examination. Candidates may note that photocopy of the OMR sheet will not be given to the
candidates later under any circumstances. Hence, carbon copy of the OMR answer sheet shall be
preserved by the candidates carefully for future reference and ISRO shall not be responsible for loss of the
carbon copy of the OMR sheet already provided to them.
• Going out of the exam hall for any purpose is not allowed during the course of the examination.
• If any candidate wishes to leave before the closing hours of the examination, he/she shall surrender the
question paper apart from the OMR sheet, before leaving.
• Adoption of any malpractice in the examination hall would lead to prompt disqualification of candidature,
apart from such other criminal/legal actions as may be taken against the candidate. The decision of ISRO
administration on the matter shall be final and binding on the candidate.
• Candidates may please note that the time, date or venue for written test cannot be changed for any
reason.
• Please note that you have to come to the written test venue at your own cost and no cost to that effect will
be reimbursed.
• Your candidature will be rejected in case any of your declaration(s) in the application form is found
incorrect.
• CANVASSING IN ANY FORM WILL BE A DISQUALIFICATION.
