METHODOLOGY

CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

Testing resourceful materials and products as an inventive process will help in

determining the factors for the successive formulation of alternative.

INPUT PROCESS

I. Materials a.) Boil the jutes leaves and get the

extract, set aside the used water.

 Jutes b.) Mix the cornstarch and the used

 Vinegar heat.

c.) add sugar, vinegar and baking soda

OUTPUT

Saluyot/Jute as an alternative for glue

Research Design

This study uses a research design with a true-experimental approach to determine the

effectiveness of Saluyot or Jute extract as an alternative glue. The researchers will have

to use controlled observation to collect data and draw conclusions. The paste/liquid

made from the finished product will be tested by the researcher for viscosity, density,

color, odor, and stickiness. The information will be gathered by the researchers based on

the experimentation.

Flow Chart of Procedure

Prepare and wash the jute leaves thoroughly.

Boil the jute leaves and get the extract, set aside the used water in separate container.

Mix the 4 table spoon of cornstarch, extract of jute and the used water in a low heat.

Add 3 table spoon of sugar, 1 table spoon of vinegar and ½ table spoon of baking
soda keep stirring until we get the thick paste.

Let it cool and put it in the airtight container.

Setting of the Study

This study was conducted in Bagua II, Datu Usman Mampen, Tanghal

Subdivision, Cotabato City, Philippines. In Mr. Mamoribid’s residence,

Science Investigatory Project proposal is to established the strength of the

glue in different humidities.

Respondents

The researcher used the simple random sampling method in the selection of

the respondents in this study. Those selected Respondents provided the

necessary information or data for this particular study. The distribution of the

respondents were from different room temperatures, with a total of three

respondents. These respondents randomly tested room temperature to gather

the numerical data of humidity.

Research Instrument

The researcher uses a statistical tool to recommend data for analysis based on

numerical and statistical properties. The temperature was divided into three

different studies: 25° celcius, 30° celcius, and 35° celcius.

Method of Gathering Data

The researchers individually collected the necessary data and feedbacks from

the selected respondents after they used the finished product.

Method of Data Analysis

As the data analysis collected, the researchers utilized the amount of glue, the

humidities, the Two-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA).
