Chapter 2.øBlock Description
2.1 Function of Each Board
Board/Unit Functions
Antenna Unit Includes a preamplifier, +5V is applied through the cable.
The unit cannot be disassembled.

MAIN Board GPS signal, plotter signal and panel signal are processed by the CPU and the
(02P6235) gate array.
The board includes a memory card I/F, LCD I/F and an inverter for LCD
backlighting.

ANLG Board Consists of a power circuit, a fish finder circuit and an interface circuit.
(02P6236)

PNL Board Consists of keys, LEDs for panel illumination and a buzzer.
(02P6237)

GPS Core Processes the GPS signal to calculate ship’s position, etc.
(GN-74)

Color Display Consists of an LCD, a LCD control board and a cold cathode tube for LCD
(LQ6BW12K) backlighting.

2.2 Inverter Circuit for LCD backlighting

High voltage for LCD backlighting is generated on the MAIN board and output from J5-#1 and #2 to the
LCD unit. The output of T1 is about 3kV AC without the load.
