 GENESIS OF THE SOCIETY: People Awareness Society was created on 5th

November 2015 and is registered under section 3 of societies registration act 1860
(Regd.No.SR/ITA/4153).A group of like-minded people laid the ground work for
formation of an apex body to create a common platform to raise awareness to people of
Arunachal Pradesh about Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairying & Fisheries,
Children, Civic Issues, Environment & Forests, Health & Family Welfare, Human
Rights, Labor & Employment, Sports, Tourism, Tribal Affairs, Vocational Training,
Water Resources, Women’s Development & Empowerment, Youth Affairs. It is a non-
profit, non- governmental organization which is completely free from political affiliation,
religion, caste or creeds etc. compromising a group of dedicated and concerned people,
intellectuals and social minded people, who are actively involved in bringing a positive
change and development through their multi- faceted, innovative, women empowerment,
educational and environment related works and researches. It was formed on 5 th
November 2015 and registered under society registration act 1860.

 VISION: A Society for multi- Dimensional & Innovative leads for women
empowerment, education, and environment.

 MISSION: Mission to help, co-operate and work with others similar NGOs and welfare
organizations that are also working for upliftment of Adi people and Adi belt in particular
and people of the state of Arunachal Pradesh as whole.

village in Upper Siang District, Arunachal Pradesh

g. Ensure Social justice and rights of women and children.
h. Preserve the social and cultural heritage of our community

It is indeed a pleasure and honor for us to submit the Activity Report of our Association during
the financial year 2021-2022

Let me take the privilege to welcome you all for this annual gathering of the Association. I am
thankful to you all for providing me the great opportunity to present this annual activities or
report and to devote your valuable time to make yourself present on this occasion. Your active
financial and moral support is ever encouraging us to explore new and effective approaches for
realization of our ingrained objective of holistic development.

Before elaborating the achievements made, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to our
committed members whose self-less and dedicated service has given a new dimension to the
recognition and acceptance to the Association within the community. Had it not been there, it
was not feasible for us to carry out our objects so delight. Within our limited financial resources,
which are being generated out of Membership fee, donations and etc, we are striving our best to
serve the community up to the maximum extent possible. Today’s turnout is again endorsing our
success beyond reasonable doubt.

The following activities have been successfully undertaken by our Association during the
financial year 2021-22

1. Health Care Programmes & Covid Kit Distribution: Society can only be hold together
when we associate and help the needy people in society. Not everyone in the society can
be helped but the one who are most needy to run their day to day work should be help
with outmost heart. Hence, our society extended hand to help who was effect during the

Covid. We the society as a whole conducted a Relief Camp and distributed relief
materials to people affected by the covid. During the programme materials like Mask,
hand sanitizer, were distributed.
2. Social Welfare Awareness: Social awareness is defined as being aware of the problems
that different societies and communities face on a day-to-day basis and to be conscious of
the difficulties and hardships of society. Being socially aware means that you understand
how you react to different social situations, and effectively modify your interactions with
other people so that you achieve the best results. Our society held a 2-day activism on
social awareness to educate the People out there who are unaware about their rights.
More than 25 people of nearby places attend the programme.

3. Sanitation & Hygiene Programme: Sanitation and Hygiene generally refers to the
provision of facilities and services for the safe disposal of human urine and feces.
Inadequate sanitation is a major cause of disease world-wide and improving sanitation is
known to have a significant beneficial impact on health both in households and across
communities. The Prime Minister of India quoted Mahatma Gandhi who said in 1923,
“sanitation is more important than independence”. Improvements in one or more of these
three components of good health can substantially reduce the rates of morbidity and the
severity of various diseases and improve the quality of life of huge numbers of people,
particularly children, in developing countries.

Our Society conducted a 4 days programme for health and sanitation in which large
number of people from NGO and Government organization actively participated to
improve the living standard of people.
With these submissions, I would like to offer a sincere gratitude towards all the members
for their wholehearted co-operation and patient hearing.
4. Sport and Cultural Activities: Physical activities are a common form of recreation and
a source of well-being, and are key to improving physical fitness and physical and mental
health. While cultural awareness and participation play an integral role in one’s life. It
gives the opportunities to be involved in culturally enriching activities, gives those
special talents a chance to extend them and to grow in their area of expertise. A 2 day
sports and cultural activities programme was organized by our society in a very organized
manner. We held competition programme on activities like football, volleyball,
badminton, Drama, Dance, singing etc. More than 10 groups from nearby region took
part in competition.
