These days people in some countries are living in a “throw-away” society

which means people use things in a short time then throw them away. What
are the problems and solutions?

It is true that people in several nations tend to live in a “ throw - away" society. In other
words, everything is just used in a short period of time after that they toss them away.
Several problems have resulted from this tendency and they should be tackled by a number
of solutions from the government and educators.

As people use things then throw them away, several related problems can be anticipated.
The main issue is that the environment around people’s living will be contaminated. This
could be explained by the fact that a large amount of waste is piled up in the landfills which
takes a long time to decompose, leading to the environment stinking. For example, a survey
researcher showed that nilon needs 10 to 100 years in order to decompose, which will
spread to rivers and land. As a result, not only air pollution, but citizens also lack clean water
to use for their daily needs. Another problem is that this trend is costly. This is because if
people do not reuse old things, people will have to purchase more new things to service their
lives. For example, some teenagers paid 10.000.000 VND to buy an IPHONE 14 PRO
although their old smartphone is still better and has perfect function. Therefore, people do
not have financial sufficient self-care in their old age.

Since such issues are serious, the government and education should immediately take steps
to address these problems. The first solution would be to encourage everyone to reusing.
Government should organize some competitions about reuse of plastics and give regulations
which ban use of things one time. This can be shown by the example that some countries
like Sweden organized recycling from old materials, giving incentive for people attending
which engaged a huge number of citizens, therefore, the rate of pollution decreased and
minimal landfill use. The second measure would be educated for everyone to awareness
level serious of use things a short time. By informing the public about the impact of negatives
on the environment and their health, besides encouraging and giving some better choices to
people. As a consequence, consumers can exchange their behavior in the way to use
everything like repair, reuse.

In conclusion, there are various negative consequences of using everything in a short period
and appropriate steps need to be taken by authorities and educators to tackle these
problems. In my opinion, the situation will be improved greatly within the next 10 years if
these ideas are properly implemented.
