ERICA BENDEBEL: Saint Teresa of Calcutta or Mother Teresa, as she is lovingly known, is a Saint
of our times having died in 1997 after spending 45 years of her life taking care of the least in society.
Her life-long devotion to the care of the poor, the sick and the disadvantaged was one of the highest
examples of service to humanity. Mother Teresa was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for work
