Ans: Horticulture is the branch of agriculture that deals with art or practice of garden cultivation and
management.

It includes the cultivation of medicinal plants, fruits, vegetables, nuts, herbs, mushroom, algae,
flower and non-food crops such as grass and ornamental trees.

4. Define animal husbandry. Write advantages of animal husbandry.

Ans: Animal husbandry is the practice which involves the scientific management of animal livestock.
Special care is taken regarding their feeding, breeding, cleanliness and disease control.

Advantages of animal husbandry

a. It helps us in the proper management of domestic animals in terms of shelter, feeding, care and
protection against diseases.
