1. Quizizz

Quizizz was chosen for reviewing vocabulary for the following reasons. To begin,
Quizizz is compatible with multiple platforms, making it convenient for teachers and
students to access and utilize. The instructor will create an evaluation with a range of
graphics and colors based on the themes or important information that the teacher
wants the student to remember. After the quiz, the teacher can access the data,
evaluate the reports, and easily find out the outcomes of the students. The teacher can
view the breakdown of each student's performance as well as the general class
performance on a certain quiz. The teacher can also review all the questions and know
what questions his/her students get the most wrong to make corrections. We found
that when everyone answers different questions at different times, it is a little less
exciting. Therefore, we choose to use constructor-driven mode in classroom because it
is more fun, and more competitive when students work together at the same pace.
With this kind of mode, the teacher can monitor the procedure, get the results and
make correction right after each question is done. Teachers can send students another
link for that quiz but in student-paced mode, so that they can review the lesson by
themself at home. For students, accessing Quizizz is also quite simple because it does
not require you to have an account. With a smartphone connected to the internet,
students just need to enter the code, so that they are able to participate.

However, incorporating Quizizz into the classroom poses certain obstacles. The first
difficulty is that unstable Internet connections might result in a learner losing access to
Quizizz. In terms of Internet access, the teacher instructs students to bring their
phones and have cellular data ready. Teachers also need to prepare a backup plan in
case they can't connect to the network

2. Google Classroom

Another app that we use in the lesson plan is Google Classroom. Because the platform
interfaces with other Google services such as Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google
Slides,… and allows uploading files in various formats to help schools, it was chosen
for assignment home to learners. It is simpler for teachers to monitor student
engagement and evaluate their learning progress because all the documents,
assignments, and grades are stored in the same location in Google Drive. Additionally,
students don't have to use a lot of paper for their exercises and don't have to worry
about losing their previous assignments. The teacher basically needs to enter fulfilled
deadlines, and the teachers may immediately score the results on this site. The teacher
may effortlessly assign homework and assess a student's progress. Even more rapidly,
the instructor can set up an online classroom.

This application to education, like Quizizz, is still fairly tough. First, for 11th graders,
the use of this tool is still quite new which makes it a bit difficult for them. Internet
connection is also a problem causing a lot of annoyance. Sometime students could not
attach files. Sometimes the system did not report that the students’ writings were
turned in although they had already been submitted and the teachers could still see and
open the files to give feedback as normal. Therefore, teachers need to pay attention to
receive feedback and request for help from students.
