The tutorial
The following tutorial demonstrates how to install a flightplan package using AI Manager’s new
One-Click-Installer (OCI) feature.

Note: One-Click-Installer is available for Prepare3D v4+ and MSFS!

Missing Models/SimObjects
In some cases, you will experience missing SimObjects in your Sim, even if the flightplans are
installed. This is often caused by missing SimObjects for that Simulator. AIM will be able to install
them as soon as they are available and tested, by just running “Verify Setup”.
Setup

Setting up AI Manager (AIM)

Extract the files included in the “AIG_AIManager_*.zip” to a folder of your choice and run the
“AIGTech - AI Manager.exe” as administrator. We recommend not using a version number in folder
naming as the program will update itself when an update is available. The location will stay the same.
Please note this folder is dedicated to AIM only please refrain from storing other files in this
directory. It might be the case that these get deleted during update processes otherwise.

Start AIM
In case you have multiple simulators installed AIM will ask you to select the Sim you want to
use AIM for during this session. If you only have one simulator installed AIM will select this
one by default.

Setting up One-Click-Installer (OCI)

1. Start the setup process by clicking “Setup OCI”. This will open a new window that will
guide you through the whole setup process of OCI.
P3D: Select the directory you want to OCI be installed to.
MSFS: The OCI-Directory will point by default to the Community Directory of MSFS, if you
want to install it somewhere else, select the directory.

At the moment there are still some files hosted on ASVIM, for a full setup you need to login in
your AVSIM-Library account. (A webpage will open, click “yes” on any upcoming script error).
– OCI will work even without a AVSIM account, only just a few paints for smaller airlines will
not be downloaded.
Clicking “Next” will generate a default OCI package on your system with the default settings.
Validate Settings (optional)
After the setup check your OCI settings

AIM will highlight settings for OCI that have been set by default, but we recommend changing them.
Feel free to leave them as they are, but you will only get the full AI experience when changing them.

Install Presets
We suggest using the default “Presets” to install your first set of airlines, just select the continent and
AIM/OCI will do the rest.
Checking and Installing of flightplans
Install ALL flightplans
The easiest way to get all flightplans installed is by using the “Quick-Button” at the main Window, it
will automatically start a full bulk-install of all available airlines. (THIS WILL TAKE SOME TIME!!)

This button will always be visible when non installed airlines are available on the server.

Install SPECIFIC flightplans

If you have installed already some presets but are missing a specific airline you can select it from the
list. Use Ctrl+Click (Ctrl+A for all) or Shift+Click to select multiple entries for a bulk-install.

1. Press ”Install” to start the installation process.

• *Optional: (experienced users)
To pre-configure your flightplan press “Configure” to define the models of your choice.
Otherwise you will be guided though these steps during the installation process.
Payware models

If the flightplan contains optional payware models the following window appears during the
installation process. Select the option of your choice and follow the instructions.

If you installed an aircraft using the payware package previously, it will be detected automatically
and the window will be skipped.

Flightplan Updates
There are two ways to update the outdated flightplans, one that will update all flightplans and one
where you can decide what to update:

Auto
Via the Update Flightplan button AIM will show as soon as an update is detected on startup.

Manual
There are two ways to perform flightplan updates Along with the “Not installed” list, there is a
“Updates list” listing all airlines already installed on your system but with updates for the flightplan
available. These can be installed just like a not installed flightplan – no further action needed.
Installed flightplans overview

Once you have completed the installation the flightplan(s) appear in the installed flightplan list.

There are 3 flightplan statuses available:

OK: Latest version of the flightplan installed.

OUTDATED: A new version of the flightplan is ready for installation.

DEFUNCT: Airline ceased operations and should be removed from your system.
