DIALOGUE: “In the classroom”. Sofia: Would you like to go outside in the schoolyard?

It is Monday, classes begin at half past seven. Anna, Sofia and Ria get off the Ria: Yes, that’s a very good idea. Let’s go.
school bus. Anna: I’d rather have a snack. I’m very hungry.
Anna: The bell is ringing. Class is about to start. We should go inside. (In the schoolyard)
Sofia: Let’s hurry up. Anna: What is your favorite subject?
Teacher: Good morning everyone! Sofia: My favorite subject is Science. What about you?
Students: Good morning teacher! Anna: I love English very much. And you, Ria?
Teacher: How are you today? Ria: I really like Math. It’s so awesome.
Students: We’re fine, thank you! The bell is ringing again.
Teacher: I’m happy to hear that. It’s so great to see you again. Sofia: Break time is over. Let’s go back into the classroom.
Ria: Teacher, may I open the window? Ria: What class is next?
Teacher: Certainly. It’s very hot in the classroom today. Sofia: Sport. Do you like sport?
(Someone knocks at the door: Tock! Tock!) Ria: Yes I do, but I like Music more. I love singing.
Teacher: Come in!
Mike (Other student): Good morning! I’m sorry I’m late, may I come in?
Teacher: Yes, please! You may go to your place.
Mike: Thank you, teacher!
Teacher: Who can tell me what day is it today? Please raise your hand.
Teacher: Anna! Stand up.
Anna: It’s Monday.
Teacher: very good! Sit down. What date is it? Mike!
Mike: It’s December sixth.
Teacher: speak louder please, I can’t hear you.
Mike: It’s December sixth. (With louder voice)
Teacher: That’s right! – Did you do your homework?
Students: Yes, we did.
Teacher: Great! Let’s check it.
(After checking the homework)
Teacher: Please, open your book to page 20. Let’s read a text.
Sofia: Teacher, may I ask you a question?
Teacher: Yes, please.
Sofia: What does that word mean?
Teacher: listen and repeat after me: “Environment”.
Sofia: How do you spell that?
Teacher: E-N-V-I-R-O-N-M-E-N-T, please write down.
Ria: Excuse me teacher, I don’t have a pencil, may I borrow one from my classmates?
Teacher: Yes, you may. - Sofia! Please come to the blackboard. – Please write the days of
the week on the blackboard.
Sofia (writing): Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday.
Teacher: Well done! You may go back to your place. – Who wants to clean the
blackboard?
Mike: I do!
(The bell is ringing.)
Teacher: It’s break time, good bye students!
Students: Good bye, teacher!
(During break time)
