QUICKGUIDE ChemWell

Take note of the:


• Waste bottles (Under and Beside the unit)
• Prime Bottle (Refill Distilled Water), WASH Bottle (Refill Washing Solution) & RINSE Bottle (Refill
Distilled Water)
• Declogged WASH HEAD (Manually)

Starting Up
1. Turn ON the Computer
2. Switch ON the Analyzer
3. Double click the ChemWell Manager icon to open the Software. Wait to finish INITIALIZING….
Then Click OK.
4. Press ROUTINES top menu, Select Start of Day. Wait to finish then Click OK. At ROUTINES menu,
select first PRIME SYRINGES, then PRIME WASH BOTTLE and PRIME RINSE BOTTLE. Wait to
finish then Click OK. (Check for clogs in the WASH HEAD)
5. LAYOUT Tab, at Rack 1, Click LOAD button, then select the EIA reagent file. At Rack 2, click
RESET button.
6. At Plate, Select 2 Rows by checking the box. Click WASH. Be sure that the rows you selected have
WELLS. Wait to finish. Check for flooding.

Running of Samples

1. Click SAMPLE TAB. Then SAMPLE ID. Sample Database pop-up. Click EDIT then OK.
Enter Patient Details. Then Click DONE. Select or highlight the SAMPLE IDs you wanted to run then
click CHOOSE.

2. Select TESTS to be run for a specific SAMPLE ID. Press CTRL key to select more than one test.
Click ADD TEST. Then select another SAMPLE ID then repeat the process.

3. Check the Work List Page, if all the SAMPLES are correctly entered. Then click REQUEST.

4. Automatically, the Program will assign the positions of the samples. Just follow the location and
positions.

5. At Plate, follow the descriptions and positions of the COATED wells (Specific for each Test). Do not
leave an open well in each row. Substitute/replace it with uncoated well.

6. Recheck all positions, reagents, samples and wells. Click START RUN. Click OK then OK.

7. TEST LIST tab, views the status of your running. Time remaining of each test and the results of each
test. Check the Select All then press ACCEPT, so that all the results will be saved in the Report TAB.

8. At REPORT Tab, you can view and print the patient’s Results.
End of Day/Shutdown
1. At ROUTINES top menu, select END OF DAY. Prepare the Washing Solution (Bleaching
Solution). Just follow the procedure.
2. Turn OFF the analyzer.
3. Close the Software.
4. Shutdown the computer.

Running of Calibrators

1. At CALIBRATION Tab, Choose an ASSAY by pressing the drop down arrow.


Add Calibration Test, located at the top right corner by pressing the drop down arrow. Select
ALL. The Work List will show the Calibrators. Now select another ASSAY. Repeat the
procedure.

2. Check the Work List Page, if all the ASSAYS are correctly entered. Then click REQUEST.

3. Automatically, the Program will assign the positions of the CALIBRATORS. Just follow the
location and positions.

4. At Plate, follow the descriptions and positions of the COATED wells (Specific for each Test). Do
not leave an open well in each row. Substitute/replace it with uncoated well.

5. Recheck all positions, reagents, calibrators and wells. Click START RUN. Click OK then OK.

6. TEST LIST tab, views the status of your running. Time remaining of each test.

7. The results will be SAVED in the CALIBRATION Tab. And it can be viewed in the REPORT Tab.
