the pavement level, which also include any of the following:

Lane-to Shoulder Drop-off - which is the difference in elevation


between the edge of slab and shoulder; typically occurs when
the outside shoulder settles.

Uneven Finished Grade Level - between an AC overlaid


pavement and existing sealed shoulder.

Vegetated Shoulder - growth of grass on shoulders along


secondary roads.
