RATIONALE
The LEARN (Lead, Enjoy, Achieve, Rise, Nurture) Tutoring Program is a comprehensive and
innovative educational initiative designed to provide personalized academic support to students of all ages
and backgrounds. The program aims to empower students to take charge of their learning, develop a love
for education, achieve their academic goals, rise above challenges, and nurture their potential for success.
By offering individualized tutoring sessions, tailored study plans, and mentorship opportunities, the
LEARN program seeks to address the diverse learning needs of students and help them reach their full
potential. According to Bloom (1984) that personalized tutoring can significantly improve academic
performance and increase student motivation and confidence (Bloom, 1984). Therefore, the LEARN
Tutoring Program is a valuable resource for students seeking to enhance their learning experience and
achieve academic success.
The LEARN Tutoring Program recognizes the importance of individual differences and learning
styles. Through personalized study plans and one-on-one sessions, tutors can tailor their approach to meet
the unique needs and preferences of each student. This personalized attention helps students stay engaged,
motivated, and invested in their learning journey.
In conclusion, the LEARN Tutoring Program is not just about improving grades; it's about

IMPLEMENTAION UNITS
The LEARN Tutoring Program will be run by a group of student volunteers who care about helping
others in the community. Our team comes from different backgrounds and has different skills and talents,
but we all share a love for education and want to help the children to excel academically, develop
essential skills, and build confidence in themselves.
1. Project Coordinator: Danna Faith Inocando- Danna takes on the role of project coordinator.
She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the LEARN Tutoring Program,
coordinating schedules, and ensuring that all activities run smoothly.
2. Tutoring Facilitators: Shaina Mae Bordadora, Vevian Gastador, Christian Angelou Allanic,
Joy Mae Bacus, Aby Rose Cabasag, Aldrin Duran, Sophia Lopez, Sheriel Christes
Montecillo, Lenith Paredes, David Kyle Realista, Rowen Noe Seno, Jonalyn Sumampong,
and Cheeyen Ann Yurag- They will serve as tutoring facilitators, providing academic support
and mentorship to the students enrolled in the program. They are responsible for planning and
leading tutoring sessions, developing lesson plans, and tracking student progress.
3. Administrative Support: Hanna Mae Abenasa, Mylenn Dabalos, and Kayce Libato- They
will assist Danna in handling administrative tasks such as managing paperwork, organizing
schedules, and communicating with program participants.

PROJECT DURATION
Length of Implementation: 1- day implementation only. For day 1 around 4 hours of tutoring program.
(1 hour for orientation, 2 hours for tutoring, 30 minutes for games, another 30 minutes for giving goods
and 30 minutes for closing ceremony).

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT
The LEARN (Lead, Enjoy, Achieve, Rise, Nurture) Tutoring Program aims to offer academic assistance
and guidance to children aged 6-10 years old in Barangay Banilad, empowering them to reach their
educational objectives and maximize their potential, while also incorporating enjoyable activities to
ensure that children learn with joy.

learning atmosphere.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The LEARN Tutoring Program is a comprehensive academic assistance program designed to support
children aged 6-10 years old in Barangay Banilad. Our goal is to provide personalized tutoring and
mentorship to help children overcome challenges and reach their full potential. Our program focuses on
tutoring and mentorship in subjects such as math and language arts and on enhancing academic
performance, fostering a love for learning, and promoting the development of essential skills such as
critical thinking and communication.
The LEARN Tutoring Program offers engaging activities that encourage collaboration and
participation. By infusing learning with fun and interactive elements, our goal is to ignite children’s
enthusiasm for education and motivate them to strive for excellence. Through this program, we aim to not
only enhance children’s academic skills but also boost their self-esteem and personal growth. Our
commitment is to support each student in achieving academic success while fostering a lifelong love for
learning. The program emphasizes creating a supportive and nurturing atmosphere where students feel
empowered to ask questions, participate in interactive learning experiences, and develop confidence in
their abilities.
The implementation of the LEARN Tutoring Program by students from the University of Cebu-Banilad
will be beneficial to the target audience in the aspect of education in such ways like recognizing the value

of education, improving academic achievement, reducing the achievement gap, increasing
self-confidence, and improving social and communication skills.
D. Coverage
“LEARN (Lead, Enjoy, Achieve, Rise, Nurture) Tutoring Program” will be open to all children in
Barangay Banilad, initially targeting elementary students aged 6-10 years old. This program aims to offer
academic assistance and guidance while also incorporating enjoyable activities to ensure that children
learn with joy. The project promotes collaboration among children, tutors, and the community to create a
supportive and enriching learning environment.
METHODOLOGY
Before the tutorial happened, we implementers went to Barangay Banilad. The implementers
explain to the Barangay captain what project we would like to implement/propose. The LEARN (Lead,
Enjoy, Achieve, Rise, Nurture) Tutoring Program aims to offer academic assistance and guidance to
children aged 6-10 years old through a Kinesthetic and Reflective Learning method wherein student tutors
will implement a learning involved with a lot of physical activities or movement and learning through
self-reflection or based on life experience. However, there are some changes happened. Instead of
implementing our project in Barangay Banilad, it was implemented at the University of Cebu-Banilad
campus due to the significantly high heat index.
