PREFACE
T he need for consolidating “Soil Analysis An Interpretation Manual” was
felt since long to cater the needs of students appearing for various competitive
examinations. It took many days to collect, compile, edit and update large wide
spread literatures from various text books, reference books, different websites,
published literature, seminars, symposia etc. to bring this piece of information in
a readable shape. Though many publications have come into existence on Soil
science, attempt has been made to incorporate the missing links and prepare a
compact source of readily available and up to date information in a simple and
lucid form which will be useful to the students. However, we should consider our
labour well rewarded only if this book serves the needs of all concerned.
We acknowledge our humble indebtness for all those authors from whose
works, information has been drawn.
The authors of “Soil Analysis An Interpretation Manual” expresses their
gratitude to their beloved brothers, friends and students for their constant
encouragement, affection and moral support during the successful completion of
this project.
In the end, we extend our appreciation for the commitment and untiring
patience of the Jaya Publishing House, New Delhi.
Criticism and suggestions for the improvement of the present book from
teachers and students will be gratefully acknowledged. Feedback may be sent to
