(1) If Vab=400V in a balanced Y-connected three-phase generator, find the phase voltages, assuming
the phase sequence is (a) abc (b) acb
(2) What is the phase sequence of a balanced three-phase circuit for which Van  16030 o V and
V cn  160  90 o V ? Find Vbn

(3) Determine the phase sequence of a balanced three-phase circuit in which Vbn  208130 o V and
V cn  20810 o V . Obtain Van

(4) assuming the abc sequence, If Vca  20820 o V in a balanced three-phase circuit, find Vab, Vbc, Van,
and Vbn
(5) Given that the line voltages of a three-phase circuit are Vab  4200 o V , Vbc  420  120 o V and
V ac  420120 o V Find the phase voltages Van, Vbn and Vcn.

(6) Obtain the line currents in the three phase circuit of


the shown figure.

(7) A balanced Y-connected load with a phase impedance 16+j9 Ω is connected to a balanced three-
phase source with a line voltage of 220 V. Calculate the line current IL.

(8) A balanced Y-Y four wire system has phase voltages Van  1200 o V , Vbn  120  120 o V and
V cn  120120 o V . The load impedance per phase is 19+j13 Ω, and the line impedance per phase is
1+j2 Ω. Solve for the line currents and neutral current.

(9) For the circuit in shown figure, determine the


current in the neutral line.

(10) For the three-phase circuit shown, I bB  3060 o A


and V BC  22010 o V . Find Van, VAB, IAC and Z

(13) A balanced Δ-connected load has a phase current I AC  10  30 o A . Determine (a) The three
phase line currents assuming that the circuit operates in the positive phase sequence, and
(b) The load impedance if the line voltage is V AB  1100 o V

(14) In a Y-Δ three phase circuit, the source is a balanced positive phase sequence with
V an  1200 o V . It feeds a balanced load with Z   9  j12 per phase through a balanced line
with Z l  1  j 0.5 per phase. Calculate the phase voltages and currents in the load.

(15) If Van  44060 o V in the network of the shown


figure. Find the load phase currents IAB, IBC and
ICA.

(16) For the Δ-Δ circuit shown, calculate the phase and
line currents.

(17) Refer to the Δ-Δ circuit in the shown figure, find


the line and phase currents. Assume that the load
impedance is 12+j9 Ω per phase.

(18) Find the line currents Ia, Ib and Ic in the three-phase


network shown. Take Z   12  j15 , Z Y  4  j6

(19) In the circuit shown, If Vab  44010 o V ,

(22) A Δ-connected generator supplies a balanced Y-connected load with an impedance of


30  60 o  If the line voltages of the generator have a magnitude of 400V and are in the
positive phase sequence, find the line current IL and phase voltage VP at the load.
