1. OBJECTIVE
Guide the Vulcan user to have the proper procedure to transfer Datamine Block Model into Vulcan block Model
so there is not corrupt when transferring block model from Data mine to Vulcan and we can reconcile the
program well.
2. APPLICATION
Applicable to all Vulcan users at Mine Engineering.

4. DEFINITIONS
*dgd: base file for running Vulcan software where all the design file saved
*dg1: base file for running Vulcan software that consist of your range working area (Easting Northing and
Elevation)
*scd: base file for running Vulcan Software that is related with colors display for every scheme in Vulcan
5. RESPONSIBILITIES
5.1 Long Term Planning Engineer
7.2.1 Transferring Datamine Block Model into Vulcan Block Model used Vulcan 8.1.2
7.2.1.1 Extract the Block Model (*.DM) from Zip files into your folder.
7.2.1.2 Open Vulcan software and import Datamine Block Model; go to file > data
transfer > import datamine block model.
7.2.1.3.1 Fill import Datamine BM cell with BM that will be imported and treated it as binary files. Name it
same as Datamine BM, so it will be easier to track.
7.2.1.3.2 Put sub block model size 12.5 x 12.5 x 1 and click perform byte swapping.
7.2.1.4 Let it running until showing Datamine Block Import statistic. The number of block imported into Vulcan
model should equal with total block in datamine block model.
7.2.1.5 Go to Block > Manipulation > Add Variable (to add mine variables) :
7.2.1.5.1 Add variable “Products” and click name for data type, put “def’ on default value. Put “def” and“0” in
Translation Condition table.
7.2.1.5.2 Add variable “sm” and click float for data type, put “zero” (0) on default value.
7.2.1.7 Viewing the block model, Block > Viewing > Block.
