Learn & Grow - Paths
Overview
This topic reviews creating Paths in Learn & Grow. Paths allow you to tie courses together that you would like your
users to view in a particular order.
Creating a Path
Click on the Create Path icon to create a new path, or on the edit icon next to an existing path in the list to revise
an existing path.
Meta Data
• Status:
o Defaults to “Active”
o . “Inactive” should be set if the path is no longer in use. This takes the Path off all reporting.
o “Unlisted” generates a URL which allows you to share the path via a link. When a Path is unlisted,
you can share this direct link to users or send an assignment for a user to take this Path. “Unlisted”
can also be used so that no users can view the path going forward, but the content remains
available for reporting purposes.

• Type
o Full Completion: The user must complete all courses in the path to complete the path.
o Partial Completion: Allows you to set a number of courses within the path that a user must
complete. An example of a partial completion would be tying 5 courses to a path, but only requiring
a user to complete 3 out of the 5 courses to complete the path.
o Permissible Completion: The path looks the user type and associated courses attached to the
path to determine completion.
Example: You built a path that has 5 client user-facing courses and 10 employee-facing courses
within the path. This new completion type marks the path complete for the user if “Viewing as
Client User” once they have completed those 5 courses.
• Name: This field allows you to set the name of the path. An example of a path name could be “New Hire
Training” You could then apply any courses you would like a new hire to watch into this path.
o Summary: Type a summary of the path. This appears to the user on that Path screen.

• Courses: Use this field to search for all courses you wish to tie to the path. Select from the drop-down to
select courses from:
• If there is an unlisted or hidden course you would like to be visible on this path, under Courses, make the
selection to “Include Unlisted/Hidden Courses.”
o My Classroom Courses, which provides a list of all custom courses you have created.
o isolved Learn Pro Courses, which provides a list of all the SCORM Content Viewer courses if you
are using that level of service.
o isolved University Courses, which provides a list of all the courses that the isolved University
Team created.
o When selecting the courses, be mindful that the audience that can view each course is also the
audience for the path. For example, if you are creating a path for the audience of “Employee,” but
you select a course that has an audience of “Client User,” the employee would not have access to
that course & would not be able to complete the path.
o Courses can be put in a different order by dragging & dropping in place.
