1. COMPATIBILITY
• For use on Skorpio X4 Pilot or Production units.
• Recommend using DXU version 2.0.0.1543 or later. Older versions of DXU used with WEC7
firmware version 1.70 or later may crash when attempting to change Wi-Fi profiles. WEC7 DXU
files created prior to firmware version 1.70 can still be applied to devices, but can no longer be
modified in DXU version 2.0 or newer.
• Units equipped with new Truly display cannot be downgraded to firmware 1.80 or previous
versions.
• Units equipped with 1D scanner module must be cold booted if firmware is downgraded from
2.00 version or clean booted if firmware is upgraded to 2.01 version.
• Be sure that the mobile computer’s battery is well charged to avoid any risk of unrecoverable
issues during the upgrade. Datalogic recommends you USE A POWERED SINGLE SLOT DOCK or A
USB POWER ADAPTER.
• Do NOT operate the mobile computer until the update is completely finished. Do NOT press
keys on the keyboard. Do NOT touch the touchscreen. Do NOT press the ON/OFF button. Do
NOT press the pistol trigger. Do NOT disconnect the mobile computer from external power
during the update.

3.1. Decoding Corrections

a. Fixed an issue causing Standard 2 of 5 barcode with 2-bar start/stop to be not decoded.

4. KNOWN LIMITATIONS

4.1. Bar Code Decoding

a. The 2D scanner does not decode with picklist enabled when aiming at the composite or add-
on portion of a label. (65389) Workaround: Aim at the base label.
b. When Picklist mode is enabled, the 2D scanner will only decode UPC/EAN labels with
extensions when the cross-hairs are pointed at the base label. (65567)
c. Read rate of 2D scanner is very low on Iphone box labels. (79996)
d. The 1D scanner may not decode EAN barcode with low quiet zone. (87480)
e. Group Separator may not be reported scanning Code-128 label. (133718)

4.2. Communications
a. Bluetooth HID profiles do not automatically reconnect as designed. (6131, 59207, 59208,

4.3. USB
a. The device may fail to connect over a USB connection with some USB hubs or extended
length USB cables. (64123)

a. Under some circumstances Wi-Fi could not connect using PEAP-MSCHAP V2 security

4.6. SDK
a. Device.BtGetPairingInfo() .NET function returns wrong BTPair data. (41388)
b. Device.BtDiscoverSerialDevices() .NET function asked for PIN during discovery phase if BT
discovered device requires it. (41630)
c. Native MS Wi-Fi API functions to retrieve RSSI, SSID and BSSID using DeviceIoControl returns
error. (78024) Workaround: adopt customized DL SDK functions.
d. Application that simulates scanner continuous mode using DL SDK functions might cause the
application itself to stop working after some time. (90040)
