'Time Spent' FAQ

Modified on Tue, 05 Sep 2023 at 07:16 PM

In this article you will find frequently asked questions about "Time spent" rating where your Total Decision time counts, not the
amount of ads rated.

Q: Is it compulsory to rate an exact number of ads per day or exactly 1 hour per day?
A: You can rate maximum 40 ads daily but you should not spend less than 60 seconds or more than 120
seconds per ad on average. If you spend the target Average Decision time of 90 seconds per ad, you will
complete 40 ads within 1 hour.

Q: How do I know when I've completed my task for the day?

A: The ideal is to rate each ad in 90 seconds on average. For example, if you rate 40 ads at 90 seconds each, it
equals 1 hour a day.
We understand that each ad is different, and you might rate some faster or slower. However, you have to stay
within the range of 60-120 seconds per ad.

Q: If I rate 40 ads in 1 hour 15 mins, will I still get paid? If I rated 40 ads in less than 1 hour (e.g., 58
minutes), do I get paid less?
A: You will still get paid. You are paid by the time spent actively rating, so the time you spend will affect
your payment.

Q: If I rate spending more than 1 hour 20 minutes, will I be compensated ?

A: No, you won't be compensated for more than 1 hour 20 minutes of rated ads. Any ads rated beyond 1 hour
20 minutes (more than 40 ads) will need to be pre approved by our Productivity team.

Q: What is considered unauthorized rating?

A: If you exceed the 40 ads/120 seconds = 1 hour 20 minutes per day, it is considered unauthorized.

Q: It is difficult to rate fast and give meaningful comments, can I rate 30 ads for 1 hour so it will take 2
minutes per ad which is still in your acceptance range of 60 seconds to 120 seconds?
A: You can, but please keep in mind that the ideal time spent to rate one ad is 90 seconds.

Q: Can I rate slow at 30 ads for 1 hour because rating faster means I am losing money?
A: We pay for the time spent actively rating, so rating fast or slow does not equal losing money.
We understand that each ad is different and that some ads might take longer to rate than other. That is
acceptable, and you could rate 30 ads in 1 hour as long as you stay within the range of 60-120 seconds per ad
on average.

Q: Where is my daily fee?

A: Our Time Spent change means that now our community is being paid by the time they actively rate each
day. The payment calculations are made based on the Hourly rate which includes the previous “daily fee”.
Hourly rate was agreed upon when you signed up for this project, so if you don’t know your hourly rate then
you can open a support ticket to ask for it
Q: So, am I getting paid less per hour than before? Do I have to rate more ads now but receive less
payment now?
A: No, you are not being paid less, your Hourly rate shown to you when applied to this job remains the same.
You will not have to rate more, if you stay within our guidelines and rate within the acceptable range per ad in
an hour, we will pay that hour the same as before based on your rate.

Q: I feel exhausted because I need to rate fast to do 40 ads/hour and give thoughtful comments. I feel
like I get paid less but have to do more work than the old way.
A: Please focus on the Quality of rating, not the time per ad. We understand each ad is different and we do not
expect that all your ads fall within the 90 seconds, the priority is to stay within the ad range of 60-120
seconds.

Q: What is the Total Decision Time? How do I find it?

A:Total Decision Time = Total Review Time - Total No Handle Time. You will find it in your SRT User
metrics.
See this Solution Article for instructions on how to check the Total Decision Time.

Example:

Q: Why does the Tool's tracking of Total Decision Time not seem to be the same as the time I recorded
by myself, and I get paid less than I expected?
A: You are paid for the time you spend actively rating, so make sure not to count in any waiting times.
Remember that the tool‘s User Metrics take time to reflect the spent time of ratings and there might be slight
delay seeing all your ratings visible in UserMetrics right away, please check later following day(s).

Q: Can I use the in Home view page the "Total Time Spent this week" under "Your shift" as proof of
my ratings?
A: No, we only accept proof from User Metrics, unless there is an issue with no data visible, please read here
more.
