1. Activity Description

Type of activity: Individual


Evaluation moment: Intermediate Unit 3
Highest score of the activity: 100 points
The activity starts on Tuesday, The activity ends on: Thursday, May
April09th, 2024. 09th,2024.
With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning outcomes:
Communicate in an oral way personal experience and daily life situations, using appropriate
pronunciation, grammatical structures, and the vocabulary studied in the contents.

The activity consists of:

STEP 1 CONTENT REVIEW

1. Go to Learning / E-book /Online Content English B1.

1.1 Study the content of modules 3,4,5 & 6 in the


E-book and do all the activities in those Modules.

You should study:


Module 3
Module 4
Module 5
Module 6

1.3. Write a short description of an influential person in your region using the past simple,
present perfect, and adjectives. You can guide yourself by the examples in Module 5 -
Exercise 6 INFORMATION ABOUT FAMOUS PEOPLE.

1.4. Who is Greta Thunberg? She is a Swedish environmental activist on climate, who has
inspired many young people to pay attention to climate problems. Young men and women
worldwide have joined her in the “Fridays for Future” initiative, which consists of Friday
meetings to raise awareness about this global concern.

Perfect and Past Simple. Then post it in the forum. Comment on your partners’ answers.

LEARNING TIP: Use the present simple tense, p a s t simple tense, present Perfect
tense, and comparatives or Superlatives when writing your answers.

STEP 2. SPEAKING PRACTICE


Choose one option: Attendance at practical workshop STT or synchronous moment.

OPTION A. - ATTENDANCE TO PRACTICAL WORKSHOP

(Students Talking Time)

During the academic process, it is important to participate in three (3) practical


workshops. In accordance with this, keep in mind:
i. The tutor will share the schedule of the workshops that will be programmed.
ii. The invitation will be sent by e-mail or other communication channels.
iii. During the practical workshops called STT it is important to participate actively with
your peers and tutor.
iv. Do not forget to turn on the camera during the session, take a screenshot which
should be posted in the forum, and fill the attendance form.
v. The final document must support evidence of participation in the three (3)
workshops.

LEARNING TIP
• Keep in mind the dates of the workshops programmed by the course tutors.
• Remember! You can participate in whatever Workshop given by tutors.
• Post the evidence of your participation in the Practical Workshops (STT) in the
forum and the final document.

OPTION B. SYNCHRONOUS MOMENT.


As a part of the pronunciation activity, you will have a synchronous moment with your tutor
and classmates to put into practice your Speaking competence, by exchanging information
about the Magazine you made in task 2. In this step, you will prepare a presentation of one
of the parts of your magazine (Be you, Be Green, or To be Like…) Choose one of the parts,
create some slides, and be prepared to share this information with your tutor and
classmates.

i. It is essential to contact your tutor to schedule your encounter, that way, you
won’t have any inconveniences to finish your activity successfully and get the score
needed.
ii. Remember that not only do you have to attend the session, but active participation
is also required to develop Speaking competence and to get the score needed.
iii. The tutor will also give you feedback, comment suggest, or congratulate
participants during the session.
iv. Post your screenshot of the meeting with your tutor in the forum.
