1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

In this individual assignment, I got a task from my lecturer to do a written report. The
assignment is about Chapter 3 Project Plans. The resource that I must get is from the
website www.eperolehan.gov.my/quotation-tender-notice to get the "sebut harga" tender
notice. The tender that I chose for my assignment is " PERKHIDMATAN MEMOTONG
RUMPUT DAN MENCUCI LONGKANG MARKAS ANGKATAN BERSAMA BAGI BULAN
JUN DAN JULAI 2023". There are three elements that I must accomplish to finish this
assignment.

Firstly, are the project scopes. Project scope is the part of project planning that
involves determining and documenting a list of specific project goals, deliverables, tasks,
costs and deadlines (Lutkevich et al., 2021). It explains the boundaries of the project,
establishes responsibilities for each team member and sets up procedures for how
completed work will be verified and approved. This documentation assists the project team
in staying focused and on task during the project. At Dewan Gabungan Markas Angkatan
Bersama, Markas Angkatan Bersama, Kuantan, Pahang.

Next, there are work breakdown structures (WBS). A Work Breakdown Structure
(WBS) is the tool that utilizes this technique and is one of the most important project
management documents (Roger, 2023). The WBS's primary objective is to plan the project's
timetable. Each task's duration is calculated along with its preceding and following tasks. A
general plan is then provided by the WBS so that the project manager may see how the
project should proceed and effectively manage the workflow. WBS is crucial in this project to
ensure that the tasks can be accomplished and finished in the allocated period. The Gantt
cart is the last option.

Besides, Gantt chart is the most widely used chart in project management. These
charts are useful in planning a project and defining the sequence of tasks that require
completion (Grant, 2023). Typically, it is divided into two sections: a list of chores on the left
and a timetable with scheduling bars on the right. The Gantt chart can show task start and
finish dates, milestones, task dependencies, and assignees. A Gantt chart can assist in
making sure that everyone involved in this project completes their tasks on time and without
slack.

To sum up, the purpose of this assignment is to show that I comprehend the material
covered in Chapter 3 Project Plans. I will gain a better understanding of the project scopes,
WBS function, and Gantt cart objectives with this assignment. These components are crucial
for completing a work in a methodical and controllable manner.

3.0 CONCLUSION

In Conclusion, Project scopes are important because they provide a clear

understanding of the objectives, deliverables, and constraints of a project. For lawn mowing
services, the project scope includes cutting the grass, trimming edges, and cleaning up
debris. The frequency of the service may vary depending on the season and the client's
preferences. Clients who require regular lawn maintenance may benefit from scheduling
recurring appointments with a lawn mowing service provider. For drain cleaning services, the
project scope includes removing blockages and build-up from drains and pipes. The type of
equipment and methods used may depend on the severity of the blockage and the type of
pipe. Clients who experience frequent drain clogs or slow drainage may benefit from
scheduling preventative drain cleaning appointments with a service provider. In both cases,
it is important to select a reputable and experienced service provider who can offer quality
work at a fair price. Clients should also communicate their expectations clearly to the service
provider to ensure that the project scope is understood and met.

Moreover, A work breakdown structure (WBS) makes a large project more

manageable. Breaking it down into smaller portions allows multiple team members to work
on it concurrently, resulting in higher team productivity and easier project management.
According to the WBS, there are 3 levels from 5 job scopes in this project. The 5 job scopes
are included cleaning and mowing, machinery, maintenance, workforce, and report from
level 1 with different person in charge of each job scopes from each level.

Hence, as for the Gantt chart, it helps the project team to plan work around deadlines
and properly allocate resources. The Gantt chart also makes complex plans easier to
understand, especially when there are multiple teams involved and there are moving
deadlines. The task in the Gantt chart has been taken from level 2 of WBS which includes
mowing and cleaning office and drain, refuelling a petrol and lubricant, equipment
maintenance and many more. Furthermore, the task has been divided into 2 months with 5
weeks in each month from June until July in the Gantt chart. Besides, the task is repeated
for every month in those 2 months.

Therefore, the project manager should always note the project with such information
in order to improve project management. Additionally, effective scope management
demands effective communication, which guarantees that everyone on the project team is
aware of the project's scope and concurs on how its objectives will be met.
